Issue 120

The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!
February 2nd, 2006

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

Issue 120! I can't believe it's been almost 3 years since the first issue of Hit Exchange News. If you have been with this e-zine since the start, you've witnessed quite a bit. From scams, to hype, from doublers, to 'troublers' and just about every knock off program that has come online and then quickly disappear.

Do you know what has remained? For all these years? The Traffic Exchanges and the dedicated surfers that make them work!

I laugh every time I hear that the 'end is near' and if 'we don't do something quick'....Folks, these things are growing more powerful by the day. The people that excel at this business, have adopted and embraced what works. Splash pages, trackers, quality downline builders, auto responders....All these essential tools, that most traffic exchange surfers never pay any mind to. These are still the difference between success and failure in this industry.

So what is stopping you? What is it that you feel holds you back in this industry? O.k., here's a better question. When's the last time you went to an online forum and took part in a discussion? Or how about attending a free online seminar and met with your fellow exchange users? Have you developed your splash pages? Are you tracking them? How big is your network and circle of influence?

There are so many things we can all do to get better results from our traffic exchange advertising. Please use the resources and tools that are out there! Study what works, and what does not and keep this industry growing strong! I look forward to seeing you all online and keep on clicking!

Thanks for reading this week's issue of Hit Exchange News!

The News

  • Have you seen Storm Pay's new Policy Change? A lot of people are very confused with the new change in policy and some are trying to determine what this means for the companies that offer any kind of commission. I will not even try to explain it (or at times understand it). So it's best if you read it for yourself and be your own judge to it....It's quite confusing....Check out StormPay.com for more info.
  • Share As Space turned three years old this past week. Now I'm not sure if this would classify as a traffic exchange, or a paid-to-promote program, but it's still a very popular system. Now if we could only get rid of the 'extra stuff' that pops up from time to time....
  • Web Biz Insider suffered some hard drive failure over the past week and be sure to check your inbox for the 're-confirmation' emails that are being sent. You can still see the website, but no one has been able to surf for almost a week now.
  • Congratulation are in order for Bobby Ivie of Funny Farm Traffic for his new position as admin at TrafficRoundup.com! Stephen Ayer is still the owner of the program, but has hired Bobby to help give Roundup a breath of fresh air. Congratulations to both of you!
  • This Week's Splash Page Hall of Fame Entry is this splash from 'The Bink'. If you ever wanted to know how to add humor to a splash page, take a look at that little gem. Binky has got a real knack for creating very funny splash pages. All done in good taste and in a fun layout. Great job!

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. TS 25
  2. StartXChange
  3. Traffic Roundup
  4. Traffic Pods
  5. Mystical Maze
  6. Traffic Swarm
  7. Clicks Matrix
  8. Easy Hits 4U

Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, Click Crazey and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. If you want to see how well they are performing each week, please check TestHoopla top 20 weekly ranking!

Deep Thoughts by Jon Olson

I put this is the last issue of I Love Hits' update but I thought it is very relevant in this day and age of 'seeking immediate success' and the search for the almighty 'forced matrix millions'. I really hope you all enjoy it!

I call this little tidbit, my four keys to making long term income online. It's not fancy, it's not flashy, it just works!

Number 1 - You Have To Spend Money! I know we have been bombarded with free offer after free offer, but whether it's an investment of time, or an investment with money, you have to 'invest'. This is a business, and a business cannot grow without some capital. Plus, if you are investing in your future, it makes sense to invest in your business.

Number 2 - You Have To Meet New People! It's time to put the 'network' back into this business. Case in point, in any industry on the planet, your networking skills will help you build a solid foundation for your business. Go to the forums, go to the seminars (there's one tonight, details are above), invest in an offline conference, use the phone, just get in front of as many people as you can. It makes a difference!

Number 3 - You Must Have Patience! On the internet, we are told of instant riches, and success in 90 days or less. Forget about it. Remember, this is long term income we want here, not a quick fifty bucks. You must have patience with your online business. This is the only industry on the planet where success is 'demanded' in weeks and months, not years. It just cannot happen, most offline businesses take 2-4 years to turn a profit, it should be no different online. Take your time, there is no rush!

Number 4 - The Dirty 4 Letter Word...Work! I know, I know...The images of sitting back with your feet up, sleeping in until noon, drinking pina coladas on the beach....It's a myth! You must roll up your sleeves and put in work. Again, this is a business, it takes effort. Do not be scared of it, it's a very rewarding experience when you start to see returns for your hard work!

Take those four points as you wish, all I ever write about is what I have experienced. These things have worked for me, and trust me, I'm not a 'special person'. I was flipping pizzas only 4 short years ago, working on minimum wage. I did not plan on getting rich overnight and I did not give up my day job until I was certain I could supplement it. The internet is a great way to earn a living...However, you have to earn it and that is what so many do not realize with an online business!

Program Review - MaxTrafficPro

It's amazing what a logo can do! Now before I go any further, let me say this. William, the owner of this program started it a few months ago. From what I know, he was not happy with the script it was on, the design of it or the path it was going. So what did he do?

He ripped it all down, paid to get some logo's done, paid to get a TCN script installed and then hired me to help him out...In other words, he invested into his traffic exchange. The results? Too early to tell but have you seen this program? The script is extremely solid, the logo is incredible and it's backed by an owner who is looking at long term growth.

It's still got some tweaks that need to be ironed out, but having talked with William during these past few weeks, I can tell this owner's mind is in the right place. And that, is half the battle!
