Issue 126One To Click On by JonWelcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News! I've just about had enough! Let me share something with you all. About 3 years ago, I kept hearing how 'dead' the traffic exchange industry was. A year ago, the same 'dead' issue popped up yet the people that make this industry work, refused to believe it. Simply put, the surfers spoke, and continued to surf the exchanges. The owners wised up and actually started to invest in their business and the programs that could not cut it, simply faded away. So why am I fed up? We could be at an even bigger cross road in this day and age with traffic exchanges. You see, a traffic exchange was a very simple concept. It was a way for users and webmasters to exchange web site traffic for free. Then came the 'auto surf' and while this model was extremely popular, I never thought it was a viable advertising option. You see, I was and am to this day, a heavy surfer and I want my page views seen by real people! Not by some auto surfing program that generates false impressions, I wanted to get my traffic! I caught a lot of heat for this, and still do because I hear the odd rumble in NMF about how great the auto surfs are. And then came the 'investment auto surf'....And well, let's just say this is the biggest threat to legitimate traffic exchanges ever. And I'm fed up! These 'investments', and I use the term investment loosely, are trying to invade the traffic exchanges by calling themselves 'manual investment surfs' now. So there you have it, even though people lost millions, the SEC, FBI and other agencies are involved, these things continue to exist. Amazing. You know what, I don't care what you do with your money. If you want to invest in these programs, you stand to loose a lot but you are an adult, and capable of making your own decisions. But guess where I have a problem with this, when they start edging their way into MY BUSINESSES, and the way I feed my family. Please, if you are involved with these programs, take a good look at them and see how dangerous your involvement could be. And not only that, how they can hurt the thousands of people that rely on HONEST traffic exchange advertising to feed their family. By bringing these 'investments' into the manual side of things, we are playing with fire. There are plenty of ways to make money online, we do not need 'investment' surfs in the manual traffic exchange side of things. I am not sure what will happen with these models, but if the auto investments are any indication, they will crumble. And unfortunately, the manual traffic exchanges may suffer an even bigger blow then we just did with the auto surfs. Rant Ends Here Thanks for reading this week's issue of Hit Exchange News!

Deep Thoughts - Feature Articles
Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonThe Power of a Logo? Branding, branding, branding! That seems to be the word of the week, as more and more people are starting to realize the power of using traffic exchanges to create a brand. It's funny, because this is something advertisers have been focusing on for years but just recently the folks online are taking part in the fun filled world of brand awareness (I like to call it Traffic Exchange Brand Awareness). Creating a brand isn't as easy and pressing a few buttons and presto, instant brand name. This takes years and a lot of effort to create. So if you have not started yet, get to it. Remember, as 'popular' the term is we are NOT marketing in a traffic exchange, we are advertising and there is a difference. Branding is one of the most important aspects of advertising and to create a brand, you need a logo. O.k., let me re-phrase that. You do not need a logo, but it makes it a lot easier. A logo is what people will use to identify your business. Let's put it this way. Can you name me the fast food chain that has a logo shaped like big 'golden arches'? If you guessed McDonalds, you have just seen the power of using a logo to brand your business. We can use these exact same strategies to create brand awareness in the traffic exchanges. I have tried very hard to use my logos to create visible brands in this business. Check out Doctor Traffic and I Love Hits for examples of the logos I use. My logos were the best investments I ever made in my business. Sure, getting the logos created is one thing, but the time to develop your name brand and create awareness does take effort. The logo could be the first piece in your advertising puzzle, and if you are looking to get a well designed logo be sure to click here and check out the work this company does. Some may argue the need for a logo, so I will simply use my favorite example here. I guess McDonalds, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Fed Ex, UPS and all the other billion dollar companies must know something that seems to work for them...Make your logo work for you!

Tony's ThoughtsWant Some Free Advertising? There is an outstanding source of free advertising where many people miss out? What is it? It is a simple signature file. It is free and anyone can use it. I conduct a weekly conference in which I offer free credits to a couple of traffic exchanges for attendees. All the recipients have to do is send me an email with their traffic exchange ID. For the last 2 months, only 52% of those claiming the credits are using a signature file. Simply a missed opportunity! You should use a signature file for every email you send out. Emails to relatives, friends, business contacts, upline emails, downline emails, answering/asking questions, or requesting information. You just never know who might take the time to click on your opportunity. You could be missing out on new team members. I am a member of a number of forums. Forums are a great place to use a signature file. I see many forum entries where people do not even use their names. WOW, I want people to know who I am! IMPORTANT: One must read the rules of each forum to find out if signature files are allowed. The longer you actively participate in a forum increases the chance that people will click on your signature file to see what you are doing. DO NOT enter a forum, leave an ad, and depart. This is considered SPAM. An acceptable signature file can normally be 3- 5 lines. It should include your name, maybe a phone number, 3-10 word statement and a url. There are other variations, but it should be short and to the point. It is not a place to enter a complete explanation for your opportunities. Cheers! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tony Tezak is the owner of Traffic-Edge.com and one of the most well known surfers in the traffic exchanges. For years, Tony has been showing people how to get the most from these programs and is always willing to sit down and chat about traffic exchanges!
Program Review - Carnival ClicksThe biggest problem that faces traffic exchange owners who own multiple programs is focus. I am a perfect example of that, as I focus so much energy on I Love Hits, that sometimes Pro Traffic Shop does not get the attention it deserves. The same can be said about Carnival Clicks and it's sister program Traffic At The Races. Since 'Races' was released over a month ago, the program has become one of the most unique and popular programs to come online in recent memory. While Carnival Clicks is a bigger program, it has sort of taken a back seat to 'Races' which is to be expected. Do not let that fool you, because I think Carnival is a very good program. This exchange is very well designed, and it's fun theme really does a good job at keeping people active. It has everything you need in a traffic exchange, and the delivery rate is very steady. When 'Races' slows down a bit, expect Carnival to make some big pushes forward. It's a very good program and a great way to get your sites seen!
