I am leaving this Monday for Dallas, Texas to attend the much anticipated Focus 4 The Future conference. If you have been reading HEN for sometime, you know that I have been extremely excited about this event. Why? Not only will attendees be bumping shoulders with some of the most successful internet marketers in the business, but there will be a HUGE traffic exchange owner presence. Some of your favorite traffic exchanges will be represented in Dallas from Traffic Roundup, Traffic Soldiers, Funny Farm, Web Centre Surf, Vinterchange, I Love Hits, Advertising Know How, Hits Coming, Hit Hurricane, Nexus, Click Crazey, ClickMasterPro, Blogazoo and many more... With that, there will not be an issue of HEN next week, however I will try to perhaps send a special update out next weekend when all the traffic exchange owners are together. Maybe some kind of special greeting or update. I look forward to meeting everyone in Dallas and here's to a very bright future for the traffic exchange industry! Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonHere's a touchy subject...If anyone has visited Net Marketing Forum this past week you have seen quite a few 'bru-ha-has'. One including a debate about potential theft and another about potential cheating within the industry. I have tried my best to be extremely neutral thus the purpose of this article. This is a business and if anyone or anything seems wrong to you, seek legal advice. If you are troubled by a certain 'program', and worried about it's legality, seek advice. If you are having troubles with certain payment processors, seek advice. I understand that some of this may seem trivial but it's important in this ever changing business, to know what your rights are. Internet business is very tricky, so why not find a lawyer who specializes in internet law and do your homework. Most lawyers offer free consultation for the first 30 minutes or so, it does not hurt to check them out. What may seem trivial today, may become a larger issue down the road. This is a business, and I can't think of any business that does not have access to legal representation. It does not hurt to be pro active!

Tony's Thoughts'Instantaneous'! Is it Working? The internet has turned into a world of everything being 'Instantaneous' and things running on auto-pilot. I wonder if it is all good? We have thousands coming online every day looking for 'Instantaneous' income by working a few hours a week day. In many cases they are looking for their pot of gold without spending a dime. This 'Instantaneous' wealth frenzy is fed by some program owners. Here is an actual quote from a program owner: "Announcing our NEW downline club. SIX or more streams of income. Special personal mentoring by XXXXXXXXX for all members who join us in April and May. We will create some Internet millionaires with this one." I X-ed out the person's name. Many want 'Istantaneous' traffic to their affiliate site.....Born the auto-surf programs. Lots of traffic and not much in the way of results. Again, no effort required just turn it on and the traffic will come. We have program owners not having time for customer support. The 'Instantaneous' reply ....'we have received your email.....'. On many occasions, an answer never comes. I have people come to my conference room every week with complaints of no replies from program owners. I actually believe the auto-pilot mentality has led some owners of traffic exchanges/program to just disappear and the exchange/program just keeps 'auto-piloting'. In some cases, it is impossible to buy credits from these exchanges. The credit buying is not on 'auto-pilot' and actually requires a human to take an action. Commissions are not being paid in some cases. Again, a human action is required. We have surfers who won't take the time to look at the 'Freqently Asked Question' [FAQ] area of a traffic exchange. They expect an "Instantaneous' answer to their question from an owner or an upline member. Some will not take the time to look at any of the links in an exchange......no need. There is always someone to answer a question somewhere. There are even those people who are looking to autoresponders to send out generic 'welcome emails' to their team members. I am not talking about program/exchange owners. I am talking about people with 10-20 team members. If you do not take the time to send a 'real' welcome email to a new referral, how can you expect them to be an active team member. Again, I wonder if all this instant and auto stuff is doing anyone any good. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tony Tezak is the owner of Traffic-Edge.com and one of the most well known surfers in the traffic exchanges.
