I apologize for the delay in getting HEN out this week, but because of certain events I thought it would be appropriate to re-do some of this week's issue. I have to start this issue on a somber note, last night Mr. Doug Williams, owner and operator of the extremely popular 3 Step system passed away. This is a huge blow to not only friends and family, but to the entire traffic exchange community. Doug was a pioneer in this business and is responsible for so many great things, I can't even start to list them. Doug was very passionate about his traffic exchanges, and he knew his stuff! So I just wanted to send my condolences to the entire Williams family, the 3 Step system and everyone that was ever a part of Mr. Williams' vision. Rest in peace Doug, you will be missed! This forum was created with one thing in mind, a place where no one would be told what they can and cannot say about online business. I was a member of many forums in the past that did not allow you to speak up on certain topics, thus NMF was created. Now I'm the first to admit, the forum can get a little crazy at times but I wanted to share with you the power of online forums and what they can do for your business. It is a very good idea to have a presence in a marketing forum, and if you want to explode your traffic exchange results, Net Marketing Forum is a must! The movers and shakers of the traffic exchange industry frequent NMF daily and if you want to get your name known, check out these few tips on how to make a great impression in an online forum. Introduce yourself first. Do not put any advertising in your posts, especially in your first 'welcome' to a forum! Introduce yourself, tell everyone you look forward to being a part of the community and then start your search! Search for topics that interest you. An online forum can be overwhelming at times, but take your time and scan through recent topics. If you find something you want to comment on, PLEASE DO SO! One of the biggest problems people run into, is becoming a part of the forum but not being active! People need to see your name and adding constructive comments to a discussion really gets your name out there. Remember though, this is a forum with many people. So not everyone will agree with each other. If you get someone who disagrees with you, do not try to fight back. Take comments in a forum with a grain of salt. It is just business and nothing is ever personal. Don't worry, if it gets personal, I will remove the offending posts! And finally, stay active and have fun! The more people see you, the more your name will get known. This also helps with your Traffic Exchange Brand Awareness by being active. Keep your name in front of people in the exchanges and online forums, you will see some great results! Tony's ThoughtsWhy No Over Night Success? I just received an email from a customer of mine complaining in the past 24 hours he had only 2 new referrals from two traffic exchanges he was surfing. You got to be kidding me! This guy wanted instant wealth from the internet. Folks I guarantee you it will not happen. If you are in need of instant money, I suggest a trip to the local 7-11 store and apply for a job. Yes, the internet can provide you instant information on any subject you desire, but not instant income. I am truly amazed at the numbers of people who are still advertising affiliate pages in traffic exchanges. Reams of information are furnished on how you only have a very few seconds to capture a surfers attention. You are not normally going to catch their attention with an affiliate website or a long winded site of some kind. A short to the point splash page is the answer. Get their attention with the splash page and send them to your affiliate page. Better yet, why not capture their name and email address and send them some information on your product or service. Folks, I am now looking at a website in a traffic exchange that has 274 lines of script. Now, this may be the best written script in the history of the internet, but I guarantee you most surfers are not even going to pause at this site. The owner would be much better off using a splash page to send surfers to the page. This internet marketer probably would do even better capturing a surfers name and email address and send them the web site script in an email. Are you just blindly, pogo sticking from one exchange to another with no idea to a surfing pattern or any discipline. en wondering why you are having no success in traffic exchanges. There are many recommending traffic exchange out there. Pick 20 of them.....put them into two groups of 10. Then divide your surfing day into two equal time-wise sessions. Today surf Group 1 in your first surfing session and Group 2 in your second session. Tomorrow reverse your groups....Group 2 and then Group 1. If you faithfully surf the pattern for 30 days, your results using a splash page will improve. My two cents.......
