People are surfing a lot, we are being talked about in some pretty big circles and it seems like everything is on the up and up... Still, people aren't seeing the results they want. I do these little reminder notes every few months, so I thought it would be a good time for a little check list of tools and resources that you should using for your traffic exchange promotions. Do you have a Splash Page? If not, you are wasting your time. Stop promoting right now, go to the link I put up above and purchase a custom made splash page from the guys at Splash Builders. You will NOT see any results without a splash page. Are you tracking your hits? Again, without this simple to use but extremely important tool you could be running around in circles. Know for yourself exactly what is working and what is not! Get a solid ad tracker working for you now! Are you branding yourself? Is your name, phone number and picture on your web sites? It doesn't matter what you promote just make sure you promote YOU along with it. Why are some people getting better results than others in the traffic exchanges? Simple, they are building their brand and promoting themselves first. And finally, how active are you in the industry? Do you participate in online forums everyday? Do you attend the weekly seminars? Are you getting your name and face known in the right places? Get out from behind your computer and meet your fellow surfers! Simple tools and tips, but still only a select few people use them to their potential. There is no secret to developing a strong presence in the traffic exchanges. Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonThe Two Most Recommended Traffic Exchanges Are... Traffic Swarm and Web Biz Insider...What is with these two programs? I mean don't get me wrong, I like them and I get decent results from them, but visiting other marketing forums online, these two programs are the only ones that exist? These programs are the ones that are recommended online before any other ones. I don't know if it's because I'm jealous that I Love Hits isn't recommended as much. Or is it simply that I don't get the same results that everyone else seems to from them? I have never had huge success with these programs and maybe it's because I don't make catchy little text ads...Ummm, that can't be right because my little 'Jon Olson is a Dweeb' text link gets clicked on in some programs a lot more than most text link ads. So what is the reason? Why does the majority of the internet seem to go 'ga-ga' over these two programs, when I can't get the same result? I guess I need to be a student of my own lessons and change up my splash pages and my approach. I've got a good idea...Here's my new pitch... My name is Jon Olson and I can't figure out how to promote on these two exchanges....Please help! Hmmmm, I don't think that will work either...O.k., my sobb story is over!
