Issue 155One To Click On by JonWelcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News! So the cat is out of the bag. This past week I released my brand new program S.W.A.T. Traffic to the industry and so far the support has been great. People are really enjoying this new program and I'm so honored that so many people have joined already. This will be a great program as it grows over the next few months. I also wanted to mention, I'm not in the business of pre-launch or 'hype' sales letters, etc...My launch plan for S.W.A.T. was this....Release it. There was no 'pre launch, and only a select few folks who helped me put it together knew what I was doing. In fact, I did not promote it myself until 48 hours after it was released. This way, everyone has an equal shot to build a downline. I've had a very busy but fulfilling week. So while this issue of H.E.N. may seem 'S.W.A.T.- centric', it's only because that has been the biggest thing on my mind for the past week. (Disclaimer - ILoveHits.com is still the greatest traffic exchange ever *lol* O.k. no more shameless self-promotion...) Have a great week and I hope you enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News
The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum! Deep Thoughts - Feature Articles
Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonHow Does WBI Do It? I have to figure something out. I have to know how Web Biz Insider can giveaway so many free credits and continue to deliver traffic so well. Let's look at some rough math to explain what I am talking about. Everyday, Web Biz Insider seems to send out these email links that can earn you anywhere between 30-100 free credits. Just by clicking on a link in the email. Now WBI is a very decent sized program, and while I'm not sure of the membership numbers, I'm willing to bet that it's over 100,000. Now here's the math. 50 credits per member, times 100,000 members equal 5 million credits, roughly everyday that gets sent out to the database. This is just the emails. Not to mention how many credits are purchased, surfed for, etc. Now on a 2:1 surf ratio, this program would need to deliver 2.5 million page views roughly per day, just to get even with the deficit it does by the emails alone. Yet this program seems to deliver traffic at a very steady and quick pace. I would love to know how it does it so I can deliver traffic like this *lol*. If anyone knows how this can mathematically work, post your answer here.

The Voices of the TE IndustryPaul's For Thought by Paul Kinder Hello, Bonjour, Hej, Shalom, Namaste. How do you say Hello? There are just so many ways, I mean, you can say hello in dozens of ways using just the English language, but how do you say hello to your new referrals? How do you welcome them to your team? Actually, do you welcome them to your team? You see, many exchanges will send a friendly welcome message to your newbies. This will probably contain little more than their vital statistics. No, not their inside leg! Their ID, password, member link, referral link, that sort of thing. The best exchanges then follow up with really good training to ensure their new members understand how to use their service. Let's face it, it is simple, but not that simple when you first start out. So, despite that wonderful service from the owner or admin many newbie surfers still never seem to get themselves started. Ever wondered why? Almost every day, right? These people need to know there is someone there to help them, someone who has been there before, someone who can hold their hand and someone who understands that setting up advertising can sometimes be a little tricky. In short, they need to know there's someone they can contact. If you referred them, that someone should be..... you! So, when you get that lovely little message from your friendly TE admin telling you that someone is willing to earn you credits, be friendly. Just log in and send them a little message saying Hi and offering your help. That's all. Dead easy really and it could make all the difference to your teambuilding efforts. You might be tempted to act like a well dodgy geezer. You know, the "Hello John, wanna a new motor?" touch. Keep your referral links to yourself. This person wants to build their business, not yours. If you help them and build a relationship they'll soon start asking what else you do. That's when you can start recommending things that work well for you. Not before. You know, I've joined over 100 exchanges in the past few months. I can count the number of welcomes I've received from my sponsors on the fingers of one hand. These people really missed a trick. I surf around six hours a day, but only in the exchanges where I've built relationships with people. So, the next time someone joins your team, why not offer a helping hand? You never know how that person might return the favour. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Paul Kinder is One Real Happy Clicker. Program Review - Pro Traffic ShopPTS. Oh lovely, lovely PTS! I have a soft spot for this program, obviously because I used to co-own it. Let me explain what this thing was meant to be when Dan and I created it over 2 years ago. This was supposed to have everything that is good about traffic exchanges, rolled up into a pro-only business model. It has been a real pleasure to see it not only grow when I owned it, but also since Brett Phillips took over. The age old debate will continue to rage about the importance of pro-only programs in our market. So I want to review this solely as a traffic exchange. It has everything you want in a TE with a lot of bonuses that really make it stand out. The sign up bonuses alone are worth the price of admission. That being said, user activity continues to drag traffic a bit. With more users surfing it, this program could become a powerhouse exchange. The numbers are there, and the product is there, it just needs that flow that people know is possible. A solid program whether you agree with the pro only model or not.
