The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!
December 14th, 2006

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

So here's the question(s). There are a lot of online training seminars, almost daily, that deal specifically with traffic exchange advertising but also general internet marketing as well. How come you do not attend these? Or do you?

I'm looking for feedback from H.E.N. Readers as to why or why not, you attend these seminars. Each and every week, we see the same names and the same people attending these events...Is that a reason most of these people are getting better results than most in the exchanges? Is it just a lot of fluff? Are these events even worth your time? Have your say here!

Please do take a minute and discuss this very important issue. Lots of dedicated owners and surfers try to make sure people get the best advice each and every week in the online seminars, so if you could offer some feedback, I know they would appreciate it very much!

Let the industry know how you feel!

Have a great week and I hope you enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News

  • Do you blog? My good friend Mike Paetzold has launched his brand new e-book called Word Press Made Easy! This is one of the best books I have read when it comes to setting up Word Press blogs. And if you are anything like Mr. Jon Olson, 'blogging' is very new to me so I really need the step by step instruction this book provides.
  • Share Ad Space is back! One of the most harmful (viruses, downloads, etc) paid to promote programs in history decided to come back online this past week. Apparently they are now a 'legit' traffic exchange and no longer will be a paid to promote. I'm not sure what to think but I will be monitoring it's re-launch and let people how things turn out.
  • Web Centre Surf got a brand new design this past week. I really like the new layout and header. Very nice look which should get more attention into this very unique and exciting traffic exchange.
  • One of the newer exchanges on the net Traffic Bloodhound has a little scare this week. Their Pay Pal account was suspended because it was viewed as an 'auto surf exchange'. After a few tense hours, the account was restored and things are smooth sailing back at Bloodhound. The message in this, say no to auto surf investment programs!
  • This Week's Splash Page Hall of Fame Entry is this page! Traffic Punk has got to be one of my favorite exchanges at the moment. The designs behind this program are remarkable. This new splash page just gives you a taste of what's to come...

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. TS 25
  2. StartXChange
  3. Royal Surf
  4. Max Traffic Pro
  5. WebmasterQuest
  6. Link Crews
  7. Traffic Roundup
  8. Traffic Punk
  9. Dragon Surf

Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, Click Crazey and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. If you want to see how well they are performing each week, please check TestHoopla top 20 weekly ranking!

Deep Thoughts by Jon Olson

Log In To Activate....No Problem!

You know the messages Please log into your account or else it will become in-active. I have no problem with these at all, in fact both of my exchanges use that same tactic to get more active surfers. It makes sense, if you sign up for a program, use it and be sure to get everything you can out of it.

Here's my problem though. How can you expect people to be active in your program when a few things never happen;

1. We never see your traffic exchange when we surf. Out of sight, out of mind.

2. You never send weekly or monthly updates.

3. Our credit bank has hundreds of credits and you are delivering about 10 hits per day.

Why on earth do you expect people to use your program when these three extremely simple management tasks have not been taken care of. I myself, refuse to surf at a traffic exchange that does not deliver what I can surf in a day. For example, if I surf 20 sites, give me my 10 page views (given it's a 2:1 ratio). That's the least a traffic exchange can do for it's members, but it's rare.

Want to know one of the biggest factors I have in listing my Top 10 list each and every week. Take a look at those 3 points I listed above. Those programs listed have at least 2 if not all 3 points taken care of. (Logiscape rarely sends updates, but they take care of point 1 and 3 VERY well).

So this is my opinion...Don't send me the 'activate account' emails when you are running your traffic exchange into the ground!

Program Review - Dragon Surf

I'll tell you what makes me smile from ear to ear. When a new traffic exchange comes online and is well designed, properly managed and delivers results. So much for the theory that new exchanges can't deliver on what is promised!

Dragon Surf looks amazing! The site design is perfect, the logo is jaw dropping and the site is extremely easy to use. Soren Jordansen, the owner, has done everything right with this program from hiring professionals to help in the design to getting everything in place for it's launch only 6 days ago.

Over 1400 members already! This program should be a solid addition to the industry and I'm really excited to see what Dragon Surf has next on the menu!

Uptime: 5.0
Features / Bonuses: 4.0
Site Design: 5.0 out of 5.0
Customer Service: 4.5 out of 5.0
Ease of Use:4.5 out of 5.0

Overall Rating: 4.5 Mouse Clicks (Rating out of 5.0)

Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (A 'Different' Look at the Industry!)

  • Hey did you know I started a new program called SWATtraffic.com? Honestly, I did! Hmmm....
  • My mom is flying in from Toronto tomorrow. I may be a bit harder to get a hold of over the next few days. Hmmm....
  • I got a newsletter update where someone said they wont 'forgive Jon Olson' for misquoting them. The joys of online business ... Hmmm....
