Issue 158One To Click On by JonWelcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News! We had a decent turnout to our latest poll at Net Marketing Forum. We were looking for feedback on what readers thought about the seminars that take place almost daily in the traffic exchange industry. The most popular opinion seemed to be that people enjoyed the meetings and got great results from them. What is important for this business is that people take part and become active. No matter if it's weekly seminars, or discussion forums, or keeping active in the exchanges. This is my little game plan for the next year. Being active translates into so much. This industry thrives when there is passionate people coming in and taking part in discussions. I know this sounds like so much of a cliche, but you really do get what you put into things. The more active you become, the more results you will see. If you remember my theory on traffic exchange brand awareness, this plays right into it. Remember, people will pay attention to names that they see pop up a lot. So this does not cost you a single penny, but it does take effort and your time. So how much do you want to put into your business? Just a note that there will not be an issue of HEN next week because of the holidays. Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonI Am A Traffic Exchange... I am a traffic exchange. Some people may call me a start page exchange, a hit exchange or even a click through program. Sure, I have many names but I really am a simple tool to use. Sometimes, I think people make me out to be more complicated than I am. I have been around since the late 90's and am finally starting to make my mark online. I deliver traffic to people's web sites. People get me confused with many other forms of online advertising. I am not a safelist, I am not a search engine, I am not a free for all link exchange and I am not an auto surf investment scam. I have been said I would not last for more than 3 years. I even had some of my owners say I wasn't good enough to be a player in the internet marketing industry. Actually, come to think about it, I still do. Yes, some big name owners still do not view me as a legitimate online advertising resource...Talk about self-hate huh? I provide my members with page views to their web sites at a very steady pace. I sometimes think people give up on me too quickly, mainly because they have a slot machine mind set when it comes to building a business online. Don't worry, I'll still be here when you come back to me in 6 months. I need my surfers, and value them very much. Without surfers, I am nothing. Without splash pages, I am nothing. Without ad tracking, I am nothing. And without a positive attitude, I am...Nothing. I am a traffic exchange, and I thank you for sticking with me for the past 7-8 years.

The Voices of the TE IndustryRich Carter's Random Thoughts Did you know that... there are thousands of ordinary everyday people making $1000 dollars per day and more? I used to think that only the big dogs and the gurus were the only ones that could do that. Since I was not (and still am not) one of those that were all over the internet selling their secrets I thought you at least had to get to know them and beg for their help or buy and buy and buy until I found the secret or ran out of cash. I will bet that you can guess what happened. Yes, I ended up not only still ignorant but broke and ignorant. Maybe I should rephrase that last statement because saying that I was still ignorant implies that I did not know how to do what those gurus were doing even after buying all of their secrets. What I should have said was that I ended up broke and "stupid". Stupid because I Did know what they were doing and was just not taking any action with what I had learned but had instead become an information junkie. You do not want to follow in my footsteps, and you wont with a little guidance and focus. I had always heard that "knowledge is power" but I found that to be misleading and that a more realistic statement would be "knowledge combined with action is power". You see, once I actually took another look at one of the products that I had purchased from one of the online supermen and actually applied three or four very simple strategies that he taught to an adwords campaign and my sales went through the roof, and it was not even my product. Well actually it was because I had bought the resell rights for it, but it was not a product that I had produced myself. It was in fact, the same product that I had bought that taught me the simple strategies. My point is that being an information junkie had caused me to lose focus on the reason I was online in the first place which was simply to make a few extra dollars. I had developed information overload and with that came frustration and the feeling that there simply was not enough time to get an internet business off the ground and all the wheels had come to a grinding halt. Luckily I have never been a quitter and decided to take a step back and take a deep breath and instead of diving head first into the deep dark recesses of cyberspace entrepreneurship I would tip toe into the baby pool this time. I would set a timer for one hour each day to read and once the timer ran down I set it again for one hour to write down how I could implement what I had just read and I followed that pattern with the timer and the implementation of a business plan from beginning to end, from reading to cashing checks, Before! moving on to the next project. I call it chunking out the plan. Just small steps carried from beginning to completion. All of a sudden I had time left over and little projects when pieced together had become big even huge projects that were producing great income almost like magic. I heard somewhere that a man had made the Guinness Book of world records by eating a car. Yes a whole car! He did it buy cutting it into very small pieces and over time he had accomplished his goal buy swallowing a bolt here and a nut there. I know that sounds a little strange but I would bet he would make one heck of an internet marketer. If you are feeling the stress and frustration caused from being an information junkie yourself you can change everything today, right now. Just make yourself a promise that no more information will be acquired until you have implemented one hours worth of some of the information that you already own. Get your timer out and your on your way and remember if your not moving forward then your standing still or even worse, moving backwards. One thing I would like to leave you with is the fact that if you have been gathering negative or frustrating feelings while learning to market online you can change those feelings into positive feelings at a moments notice. It's because the human brain can only feel one emotion at a time. It's imppossible to be negative and positive at the same time. It's impossible to be happy and sad at the same time. The wonderful thing about this is that We have total control of those emotions through the use of "action" or "inaction" Inaction is negative and action, ANY action is positive so if your feeling stuck or frustrated then take some kind of action. It does not have to be writing a novel or finishing a money making project but could be something as simple as adjusting your tie or making your bed a different way or just jumping up and shouting, Halleluyah world look out here I come. Don't believe it? Try it. Program Review - EZ ClickingThere's something to be said about site design, it does make or break a new program. With constant promotion, a well laid out business plan and a rock solid site design, new exchanges can become a hit in a few weeks after their release. EZ Clicking has got a very nice site design. It's well laid out and uses the popular LJ Script as a back end for the program. However the game plan does not seem to be intact. It gives away bonus credits to sign up, so the deficit has already been built and traffic flow is extremely slow. These are problems that need to be turned around quickly if the exchange wants to be a player. It has the right peices, it just needs to get off and running on the right foot. A program to watch and monitor. It could become a very good exchange down the road.
