Issue 162One To Click On by JonWelcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News! Ahhh another wonderful week in the world of traffic exchanges! Why do I love traffic exchanges so much? I get asked that a lot. People want to know, why these little itty bitty programs that have been around longer than Google are such a passion for me. Simple, it gives everyone an equal chance to succeed. In this day and age, it's a lot easier for the quote un quote 'little guy' to make a name for him /herself with the power of the internet. Look at companies like eBay, MySpace, YouTube...Yes folks, Web 2.0 is about giving a voice to folks that a few decades ago didn't. It's about user generated content and no more 'force feeding fads' by the faceless corporations. Traffic exchanges allow anyone from anywhere to succeed. Of course, like in all area of life, success starts with the individual but there is nothing that I have done, that a company like Logiscape has done, like owners such as Stephen Ayer, Robert Puddy, William Brant, Paula Zuelke, or the hundreds upon hundreds of successful traffic exchange surfers have done, that you cannot do yourself. The choice is yours! The opportunity is here. Carpe diem! Have a great week and enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News
The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum! Deep Thoughts - Feature Articles
Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonWhat's The Price? I got a very interesting email today from Savvy Clicks. They are changing the prices for the credit packages, but actually lowering them. This exchange seems to be around the industry average of $10 for 1000 hits. But what about the prices at Traffic Roundup? Or the prices at TS25? Is there an average? Why do companies charge what they charge? It's amazing to see the pricing structures of different traffic exchanges. Take for example, the upgrade at Link Crews. $40 bucks a month! This is a very bold price point when you can upgrade at a program TS25 for 25 bucks a month (Platinum level). Take it even lower though and you see upgrades for 10 dollars per month like an I Love Hits upgrade or 5 dollars a month for a StartXchange upgrade. It goes to show the diverse set of business people we have running the traffic exchanges. So what does a credit cost? I mean what is the value because if Traffic Roundup offers 1000 credits for only $6.95 but Traffic Swarm charges roughly $20 for 1000. Same traffic, same people surfing. HUGE mark ups by some companies. This does come back to tracking, and whatever programs work for you are obviously the ones to support and purchase from but again, it's remarkable to see how different companies in the exact same industry price their products. A big thing that makes you go hmmmmm...

The Voices of the TE IndustryBy Rich Carter I Want To Sell Something...Anything! I have heard it a million times. The new internet marketer that really has the desire to start a business online but has no clue of where to begin. I have to ask them if they really want to sell something just to see if they can, or if what they truly want is the money that comes from selling something. I think that to date, the only person that I have heard pick the former was Donald Trump who is just a deal making addict and just loves to sell and buy things. Now that I know their true intention is to make money I have to tell them that they wont make money by selling things. Totally confused now, the new marketer wants to know how in the world they can make money without selling something. I try to explain it this way. If your in a movie theater and yell FIRE then everyone will run for the nearest exits and nothing will get in their way. By the same token, if someone faints in a crowd or if someone cries out for help then they will gain everyones attention and will keep crying out until they get some help. Marketing online is similar in it's way. If you stand up and yell SELL people will head for the nearest exit just as sure as if you had yelled FIRE. I have something to sell you, there they go, Would you like to buy this, There they go, I'm having a sale, there they go, Get this FREE!!, there they go, I will give you 90% off this and forty five of these if you would just please, pretty please just take a look, There they go. The fact is that people don't give a rooty toot about what you have and are only interested in what they want and in order to make money online it's your job to satisfy those wants. The new marketer is stuck. Well, I dont know what they want, how do I know what they want? they ask. That's the easy part I say because everybody wants the same thing. By this time the new marketer is beginning to feel like their in the middle of the Abbot and Costtello "who's on First" routine. What Thing!? I say, A solution for a problem. And that's all there is to it, if you want to be a traffic magnet then solve problems for people and if you want to be a money magnet then solve problems for people. If the new marketer has an existing product I tell them to focus on the target market that has a problem that his product will fix or provide a solution for. Then inevitably the new marketer says that they have already done that but they think that the market must be saturated with tounge shavers or that he must have already sold to all of the people that had a problem with excess hair growth on their tongue, and they don't know of any other problems to solve so maybe their online marketing days are over almost before they got started. right? First I say, tongue shavers huh, well how about that. Now that I know that he needs a crash course I put my coaching into overdrive special case new marketer mode and tell them, no your just beginning and you just need to find more problems which we will form niche sites for. To find what problems people have you only need to know two words and those words are "learn" and "training". I tell them go to the overture keyword tool here and to first type in "learn" Well, what do you know. Up comes a huge list similar to this one:
26156 learn Both searches will produce a Lot of results which lets you know what people are wanting to learn or to get training in ( to solve their problems ). The new marketer only needs to develop a niche for any one of those search terms to come up with a money maker and of course they could take their searches even deeper to really narrow their target markets to very specific ones. Which specialty site is the best? If making money is the name of the game then we want to find out which of those niches people are buying from so go back to the keyword selector tool and type in the term "buy" and you will get back a results list of specifically what people want to buy so you create your specialty site with those terms considered in your design. The new site needs an ezine to gather subscribers so back to the keyword selector tool we go and type in the term "tip" and we getback a results list similar to this one: Searches done in November 2006 Count Search Term
45523 tip Now just build you ezine around these topics and use some proven marketing techniques and watch your list grow. OK, now that we have all of this information here is an example. I have a guitar site and our lists of keywords shows us that people want to learn to play the guitar, they want guitar tips, and they would like to buy guitars, (I like that one). So our site simply needs to provide a free ezine of guitar tips, sells an instructional product that teaches others to play, and provides links to sales pages where they can buy guitars. That's it, very simple, 1.2.3. 1) Find out what people want to learn or need training in. 2) Match that with people that want to buy 3) Provide Tips with a great weekly or monthly ezine. Now your cooking with gas. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rich Carter is the webmaster for these sites and is a proud member of thr GOB network of internet marketers providing consulting training and opportunities to both new and old online entreprenuers.
Master Rights Index Program Review - Free Traffic LottoEvery now and then, I have to admit it, I can be very ignorant. Yup, sometimes I think I know it all and then I start assuming things. I start prejudging different programs and then before you know it, a gem slips under my radar. Take for example Free Traffic Lotto. When I first saw this, I immediately thought 'a lottery program'. So I chalked it up as some lottery scheme where you all pooled together funds to win the state lottery. Wow, am I ever ashamed to have thought that. Folks, this could be one of the better traffic exchanges to get launched in quite sometime...And it's flying under the radar. It's a traffic exchange that uses a lottery ticket system to generate weekly prizes. Nothing new, because this kind of lotto system has been around since StartBlaster and Webmaster Quest, however this exchange does a great job of bringing together the fun of a weekly lotto with the power of traffic exchange advertising. The result? A wonderfully active and fun surfing environment. Every 8 sites you view, you get a lotto ticket. The more tickets you get by surfing, the more chances you have to win the weekly lotto. Simple, fun and effective!
