Issue 163One To Click On by JonWelcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News! You are what you eat! Remember that old saying? Well there is a similar little phrase that has a lot to do with how well your business develops and what kind of results you will get from your time in the exchanges. I try to keep a positive attitude all the time. It's hard. It really is. Offline distractions, local news, the state of the world, stress, money problems. It's a lot to handle. However when I wake up each and every morning and sit down in front of my computer, this is what I tell myself. I'm going to have a great day and if I don't reach my target I'll work until I do! Sounds simple enough huh? However that simple little phrase prepares me and gets me into the right attitude for my work. Here's an example. Let's say I only have 5 subscriptions that came through over night but my target it to have 7 a day. Guess what I'm going to work my tail off until I reach...Right, the next 2 subscriptions. And telling yourself you will do that before you check your local news, read the paper, pour a cup of coffee works! It's all attitude. It's all about telling yourself what you want to accomplish and working towards it. So guess what you are doing when you huff and puff about how 'boring it is to surf the exchanges', or 'I'm not getting any results from XYZ Exchange'... The choice is yours. I choose positive over negative each and every time! Have a great week and enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News
The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum! Enjoy this week's list!

Deep Thoughts - Feature Articles
Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonWhat Traffic Exchange Should You Upgrade In? I get this question asked a lot, so I thought I would break down a few areas that I look at when choosing a program to spend money on and upgrade. Here they are: 1. I know some folks wouldn't put this as the first area to look at but I do, and that is who owns the program. Have a worked with this person before? Do we have a business relationship? Have I had good experiences with this owner? There is so many things that can be said about who owns a program and how well it will be received by the industry. 2. Results / Traffic Flow. Plain and simple. If a traffic exchange delivers what it says it will, I will upgrade. If I'm seeing good returns on my time in the program, it's a good bet to upgrade. 3. Site Design / Theme. Does this look like a out of the box stock script? Or has the owner invested into getting custom work done to the script and to the site design. You can tell a lot about the longevity of a program by it's looks. 4. Gut Feeling. Never ever second guess your inner voice. If you have a good feeling about a program and you think it's a winner, it will be. If something sounds too good to be true, it is. Your inner voice never lies. 5. Value. Are you getting a good bang for your buck? Is the price of the upgrade a good value? Is the owner charging way too much? You must get good value for your upgrades. Check what comes with your upgrade and make sure it's at or above industry standards. Those are my tips on choosing a solid traffic exchange to spend your money in. If the program delivers on those points, you can be sure you are making a wise investment.

Program Review - Traffic HeroesThis is going to be a program to watch. Simply because of who owns it. Mr. Rich Morris has launched his new exchange, Traffic Heroes which uses a very neat little 'super hero' theme. Now why will this be a program to watch? Rich is a regular at Net Marketing Forum where he has had some legendary posts and debates with many. He knows the traffic exchange business very well and being a member of NMF he has seen a lot of good and a lot of bad in this business. Now what about the exchange? The script is the TCN script, used by exchanges such as Max Traffic Pro and Traffic Punk. The site design is good, as it promotes the theme of the super hero well. The biggest test will be how Rich manages this program and develops new features to add value for his members. One to watch!
