Issue 164One To Click On by JonWelcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News! I have to give credit here. Mike Paetzold is a genius! If you ever get a chance to sit down and chit chat with this guy about blogs and blogging, jump at it. He is my mentor when it comes to blogs because trust me, I need help when it comes to these things. So Mike sets this amazing new survey site up for me this week. It's called AskJonOlson.com and essentially it's a place where you can go and ask any question which you may have about traffic exchanges. Pretty neat so far, but here is the best part. I take those questions and answer them on my little used Hit Exchange Blog! So every day now, I will answer questions about this fun filled business and I do hope to get your question answered as well. Want to know what are the best times to surf? Which exchanges offer the best ROI? What's my opinion on auto surf exchanges? How do you pull get results from splash pages? What exactly is T.E.B.A. and E.S.A.? You've got questions? Ask Jon Olson! *lol* Have a great week and enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News
The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum! Deep Thoughts - Feature Articles
Deep Thoughts by Jon OlsonToo Many New Exchanges? It's remarkable how this industry operates. A few years ago, you could count the number of exchanges that existed on two hands. Then came the boom, we had thousands of them. About a year ago, it slowed down again as new exchanges were launched few and far between. However, this year we seem to be moving towards an increase in new programs. Is this a bad thing? Are there too many programs online? Yes and no. Yes, I think there are too many to surf. It's become a challenge to remember which exchanges you want to use everyday simply because of the choices out there. Owners are doing a very good job at launching these programs and gone are the days of 'free credits to sign up'. Thus, traffic flow usually has a head start out of the gate. However, the cream will always rise to the top. And that's the big reason I say there will never be 'too many' exchanges because the programs that do well and continue to grow will be the ones where the owner invests his or her time, effort and money into it. Simply put, the best exchanges managed by the best people, will always do well. So sure there is a new wave of exchanges being launched, but this tells me that more and more people believe in the traffic exchange model. Owners are starting to learn and implement some great ways to bring people into their program and this benefits everyone in the long run. Remember, the cream will rise to the top!

The Voices of the TE IndustryBy Steve Ayling Just A Though But maybe Its Time To Educate The World Everyone uses the term traffic exchange newbies, but what are TE newbies? A TE newbie to me is a new member of my traffic exchange that did not know what traffic exchanges were until they found mine. Most newbies come to traffic exchanges and do not have a clue how to work them or even how to use them, in fact its crazy that a lot of them who join do not know what a traffic exchange is. Newbies are great and we could do with lots more of them. I am the first to admit that all I did was advertise to people who knew what an exchange was and did this mainly by advertising in other exchanges but what do we achieve here. Mainly the same few members in all the exchanges. I am a big admirer of the work Jon Olson does in his attempt to help people understand what traffic exchanges are and bring information and help to people so they can benefit from them as well in fact lots of other people do this as well. I have seen Robert Puddy speak at 2 of his events and he always promotes traffic exchanges and explains what they are. All this had me thinking its about time to give something back to the traffic exchange world by educating people all over the world who do not know what a traffic exchange is. I have started doing this by giving away a free ebook and also creating a website that will educate the people of the world that do not know what an exchange is. I think this is just part of a need to bring thousands more people into the traffic exchange world and help them promote online. It would be nice if we all could have a big go and tell some people we may know about traffic exchanges or all have a week educating newbies and lets make this exchange world twice its size in members instead of twice the number of exchanges. Maybe next week should be "Traffic Exchange Awareness Week" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Program Review - All Net SurfIt's the month of the super hero! Last week I introduced Traffic Heroes which had a super hero theme and this week we've got All Net Surf. This program is owned by Michael Kelly, who owns Royal Surf and More Actual Visitors. So by knowing that, you can be assured that the program will exist in 6 months. Michael is one of the better owners in this business and has a very creative mind when it comes to his programs. Which is why All Net Surf strikes me as being very 'plain'. I love the site design, the 'hero' is very well done. However the site seems to be a work in progress. There is nothing unique about the program, but knowing how Michael operates, that will change down the road. Chances are, he'll pull something out of his hat and blow away some competition. I rank this exchange as one to seriously watch out for!
