Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

Just to let you know, there will not be an issue of Hit Exchange News next week. It's seminar time again and I will be on the road to Dallas for the Focus Seminar.

I made an offer to each and every traffic exchange surfer or owner that shows up to Dallas, and hopefully I can max my credit card from it. Basically I'm taking everyone out to dinner who is involved with the traffic exchanges. So never mind the great networking opportunity and incredible things you will learn from the speakers at the seminar...Get a free dinner in Texas from Jon. =)

O.K., back to being serious. I'm always excited when I get to go and mingle with others in the wonderful world if internet marketing. I owe a lot of my success to that first seminar I attended back in 2005 put on by the same group of people. These Focus Seminars are a success story in their own right and are responsible for some pretty big launches over the past few years. This is what happens when you get out from behind your computer and attend these things....You develop real world relationships that form great ideas into great businesses.

• It's the year of customer loyalty, I promise you! Link Crews added a brand new customer reward feature that you earn for every package you purchase from the program. This is very similar to the LogiBucks program and seen in Royal Surf and Splash Points. I mentioned at the beginning of the year, more emphasis will be placed on customer rewards and building customer loyalty, here is some more evidence that traffic exchanges owners are dedicated to rewarding their customers.
• Jurassic Surf got an incredible new look this week. This newer traffic exchange has done an amazing job at redesigning it's look and adding more attention to it's logo.
• Traffic Punk added a brand new feature this week that allows members to send solo ads via a private in house mailing system. This is the same kind of feature that Web Centre Surf uses and is one of the most innovative and fun ways to earn extra credits. Traffic Punk continues to impress and is one pace for a remarkable 2007.
• Has this program been this good? Yes. Magnify Traffic hit 3000 members today which is remarkable seeing that the program has only been online for a few short weeks. This goes to show you that innovative ideas and a well thought out program structure can go a long way. Congrats gentlemen, you have a real winner here!

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. Is Internet Marketing Finally Affordable For Everyone?

There's a funny little trend happening on the 'other side' of internet marketing. We've been doing this for years over here at the wonderful world of traffic exchanges, but this new pricing structure seems to be taking shape everywhere else.

What I'm referring to are the '7 Dollar Reports' that are popping up. Also, the giveaway $1 for joining a mailing list. The rumors that one time $997 products are slowly coming down to pricing points around 300-400 dollars. Hmmm, interesting.

What's my take on it? Simple, the rest of the internet is finally understanding that there is much more money to be made by offering affordable options for everyone. Think of the amount of new people coming online everyday, trying to build a business online. I see these folks first hand, coming into I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic. It's a very healthy amount of people…But do you think they are willing to shell out a thousand bucks for an info product or training course right away?

More than likely no, but they sure will spend 7 bucks or 10 bucks a month. This is where the growth I think will take place in 2007. More emphasis on making this business affordable for EVERYONE, not just the folks that want to go 20K into debt in their first year.

Affordable pricing with the concept of slow and steady growth, to me translates into a bigger and better opportunity for everyone! But than again, what do we know, we're just simple traffic exchange owners and surfers...

Program Review - Free Traffic Bar

Toolbars are not new. Ever since the days of All Advantage, companies have been getting members to download their toolbars so that advertising can be displayed to it's membership. With the growth of programs like Instant Buzz, exchanging tool bar views has really become a popular way to generate traffic.

Free Traffic Bar is a toolbar exchange (for lack of a better term) that fit snuggly onto your browser. It exchanges text ads that appear while you surf, so it's a background medium but seems to pull in some decent results.

Do not expect a high click through ratio with these programs, however with some creative ad copy you can get some good results. The trick is to stick out like a soar thumb, so do not place 'Get Lots Of Money Here', that's not going to attract attention. But using my name has, for example the ad I used was "Jon Olson Is A _______!". This has done a lot for me and generated some great traffic.

As with every 'exchange' type of program, results will vary. However this program has a big membership and a very dedicated administrator. It should be a great program for many years to come.
