Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

Wow, that was an extended break! I'm back, after 3 missed weeks of Hit Exchange News. I apologize to everyone that has missed our weekly ranting and raving about all things traffic exchange related, however I'm back now for quite sometime and won't be missing any weeks in the for seeable future.

It's been an interesting 3 weeks in the traffic exchange industry however the most noticeable factor in these past few weeks has been the slow and steady growth of the industry. I continue to get hundreds of new people joining my traffic exchanges each and every week, and dozens of new subscribers to Hit Exchange News as well.

Everything has been status quo and you can look at that in both ways. Good, because we continue to grow and mature as a viable advertising resource online. Or bad, we have not seen any 'major impacts' take place in the past few months. So that's my challenge to the industry, let's keep things moving forward but at the same time, let's not be afraid to try new things in this business.

• Oh sweet traffic exchange glory! S.W.A.T. Traffic reached 5,000 members a few weeks ago and I didn't get to announce it because of my 'vacation'. However things continue to roll right along there as it has become quite the traffic flow machine. If you are a member, be sure to assign those credits!
• I've added a brand new feature to Net Marketing Forum which allows people to earn banner impressions for being active in this popular online community. Hopefully this gets more exposure to your web sites, helps you brand your name / business and also generates quite a bit more activity at NMF. I hope everyone enjoys this little 'banner exchange' addition to the forum. A special thanks goes to Joshua Ditty for actually understanding what I wanted and making it happen with his amazing programming skills.
• A brand new traffic exchange launched about a week or so ago. TX Total Share is a new program from TE veteran, Jennifer Herold. It looks great even though I myself will stay away from the 'money making' side of it. The site design is wonderful, the concept of reselling your credits is on par with Cash Clicking. We'll see how popular this becomes because it has the potential to be a solid traffic exchange.
• Check out the brand new look of Traffic Soldiers! This popular traffic exchange got a face lift and a brand new layout during the past few weeks. I really like this new look and it should add even more value to this very popular program.
• This Week's Splash Page Hall of Fame Entry is this page! It's for Cheetah Traffic and it really does a good job of playing off the theme of the 'Cheetah'. Very nice design and the color scheme will really help the branding.

  
  
  

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. Rah Rah Rah, We Need Creativity!

So I've been gone away for about 14 days. Maybe it's not my place to comment too much on what happened during the past few weeks in the traffic exchange industry. I mean, sure there was a few new program launches, but where on earth is the creativity?

I don't get it. Are we all waiting for Logiscape to come to our rescue again and shake it up a bit. Guess what, they probably will and will continue to make a ton of cash in the meantime. Why? Because they do things their way. Good for them. Good for TS 25 and good for anyone that has ever created something unique.

Now we all 'borrow' ideas or use something that resembles someone else's stuff. It's to be expected. We are all in the same business and ideas will cross paths, but what about something as simple to do as hiring a designer to make a killer splash page for you? Need help with ad copy? Hire someone! Want to get a custom cartoon designed for your traffic exchange (a la HENry from I Love Hits - yes, he's a custom cartoon character I had designed)...Folks, it's not that hard.

Some of the best ideas you have, can be translated into something very positive. Just be creative with it. Write everything down, find a mastermind group to bump ideas off of each other. Just be creative! The internet marketing industry, even though it's about 10 years old or so, is still in it's infancy...We are ALL in a very good position to transform a solid idea into a creative endeavor!

O.k., I apologize for the rant, I'm going back to what I do best...Surfing the exchanges =)
