The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!
May 24th, 2007

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

I'm pretty proud of my traffic exchange this week. I Love Hits had an amazing week with hundreds of people joining the program. Actually, we had our best two days on Tuesday we had 127 new members join the program and yesterday we had another 111 join the exchange.

Not too bad for a program that has been around since 2001 huh? What does this tell me? Actually what I have been saying since 2003. The traffic exchanges are just starting to see their full potential. Check out my article today about the new issue of Home Business Magazine to really grasp how big this industry is about to become.

Get ready folks, it's a great time to be involved in the traffic exchanges!

Thank you very much for being a subscriber and enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News

  • The big news this week saw the launch of Instant Squeeze Page Generator. Robert Puddy's new service allows members to create eye catching squeeze and splash pages in a few short mouse clicks. The results have been remarkable so far from this program and it looks like it should even bring more attention to the traffic exchange industry.
  • Ahhhh sweet Amazon.com glory! Finally after 7 weeks, my book Hits, Clicks and Misses: The Traffic Exchange Experience is up on Amazon.com. Note to self, the next time you feel like writing a book, make sure it's up on Amazon before you release it to the public!
  • Traffic Roundup was busy this week as well with the release of it's brand new feature called 'The Roundup Mailbox'. This new feature allows members to essential 'mail' the Roundup membership depending on how many credits you allocate to the mailing. Very cool!
  • After an amazing start out of the gate Road Runner Surf has already switched to a new script and a new server. There was a few hours of downtime yesterday but the new exchange seems to be up and running again. The traffic flow on this thing is amazing!
  • This Week's Splash Page Hall of Fame Entry is this page! I love the look of this, with the coupon dashes around the table and of course the logo front and center. A great splash!

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. Real Hitz 4 U
  2. TS 25
  3. Hit Pulse
  4. Dragon Surf
  5. Hit Safari
  6. Traffic Punk
  7. Traffic Splash
  8. Traffic Roundup
  9. Pro Hits Plus
  10. Traffic Planets

Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, Click Crazey and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. If you want to see how well they are performing each week, please check TestHoopla top 20 weekly ranking!

Deep Thoughts - Feature Articles

So I'm Reading This Magazine...

I subscribe to a lot of home business magazines. Heck, to be honest I spend most of my time offline in front of some kind of book or business magazine. I'm a big big fan of self-education and try to invest whenever I can into furthering my knowledge of business.

So I'm reading the latest issue of Home Business Magazine and the cover story is called 'Blogging For Business'. Cool, I use a blog so I dive in and start reading. This magazine used to be filled up with articles about brick and mortar offline opportunities but to my surprise this latest issue was essentially all about internet marketing. Cool huh?

I think there is going to be an even bigger influx from folks that are trying to start an online business where the overheads are much lower than a traditional home based business. This means even more fun times ahead for the traffic exchanges.

Any ways, we'll see if this holds true with the next few months…Happy time ahead!

Program Review - Road Runner Surf

Every now and then, special programs pop up that may not have the launch power of let's say a new Logiscape release, but seem to fall into the category of 'one to watch out for in the future'. Road Runner Surf is just that type of program.

This thing has already got a new script and a new server only after one week of operation, so that should tell you how popular it could become in the future. This program looks good, runs smoothly and delivers great traffic. It's still being worked on right now and it may be a few days before things are back to being smooth but this is still one of those gems in the rough.

This should be a very solid addition to the industry. As soon as all the bugs are out of the system, get ready for the Road Runner to run around the competition for years to come.

Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (A 'Different' Look at the Industry!)

  • If Squidoo and the social book marking sites are considered Web 2.0...Are traffic exchanges considered Web -2.0? We've been around that long LOL Hmmm....
  • Get ready for some changes to pop up at Max Traffic Pro. This week's update mentioned some fun stuff ahead! Hmmm....
  • Wow, this page right here sure does look like this page here. Hmmm....
