The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!
June 28th, 2007

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

Last week we asked a simple question in the forum, what do surfers want? We've had some great feedback and I urge every surf, owner and enthusiast to check it out.

The reason is simple, this industry continues to grow because people are getting results. However without the feedback from the members of these programs, owners are basically shooting blanks. We need feedback, it's the absolute best way to get a feel for what is working and what is not in the industry.

Be sure to pop by and have your say, but also to check out what other surfers are saying about the traffic exchanges.

Thank you very much for being a subscriber and enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News

  • Traffic Dodgems launched this past week to a very warm reception. It's amazing what a great site design can do for a program. This is a very solid new addition to the industry and should be one of the better new programs to come online this year. And hey, we even got to learn what a 'Dodgem' was this week too! (It's a bumper car for us North American blokes...lol)
  • My traffic exchange I Love Hits got a brand new look this week. I'm very proud of this new design and wanted to thank Sean Lowery for creating this for ILH. Be sure to pop by and give it a spin, the numbers since the redesign of new members joining and surfing, has been amazing!
  • Stephen Ayer of Traffic Roundup released a new blog this week about traffic generating called Traffic Elements. However there is little to no mention of traffic exchanges on it which I find interesting. Might be a good opportunity for some folks to ask questions and post about these fun little programs.
  • This Week's Splash Page Hall of Fame Entry is this page! Talk about 'building a community!' This page from StartXChange's single purpose is to make people feel as though it's a very large community of traffic exchange surfers....And it works!

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. StartXChange
  2. Traffic Splash
  3. Dragon Surf
  4. Magnify Traffic
  5. TS 25
  6. Real Hitz 4 U
  7. Hit Safari
  8. Traffic Swarm
  9. Traffic Roundup
  10. Free Traffic Lotto

Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, Click Crazey and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. If you want to see how well they are performing each week, please check TestHoopla top 20 weekly ranking!

The T.E. Industry Is Dying....Again...And Again...

What is the state of the traffic exchange industry? Every few months it seems that the nay sayers come out of the wood work and make it known that the traffic exchange industry is going down the tubes. It used to really bother me, but now I'm just used to it. You see, this industry has been 'dying' since 2002 according to some. But month after month, we seem to grow and continue to be the front lines for the new online business person...

I myself, think everything is great. Does that mean I'm sitting back with my feet up? Absolutely not, and I'm always looking to improve my business model. If you stop trying to grow, your business will suffer. However I do not see doom and gloom on the horizon. Will it get harder for new exchange owners and would be program owners to launch a successful exchange? Yes, it will. Will it get harder for established exchanges to maintain their brand? Absolutely. This is healthy and should be seen as an opportunity for folks to step up to the plate and really make a name for themselves.

There's an interesting thread taking place at Net Marketing Forum this week and goes along nicely with this topic. If you get a chance, pop over and have a look. Be sure to add your two cents into the conversation as well because as a member of this industry, you should have your voice heard.

Program Review - Traffic Dodgems

This program launched on Monday to a pretty good response. I mean it seemed like every traffic exchange owner sent an email about it's release. The reason? Steve Ayling! Steve is the mastermind behind this program and if you ever surfed Traffic At The Races, you'll know that he really tries to make his programs fun to surf.

That being said, it is a very simple program. There is nothing 'new' however the 'dodgem' game is quite different than most other surfing games you will find online. You can win a lot of bonuses as well from the game which should provide surfers with a fun break throughout the surf sessions.

The design is incredible. This is one of the best looking exchanges to come online in some time and even if there won't be thousands of members joining in the first week, Steve 'gets it' when it comes to promoting his programs. Expect this one to be around for quite sometime.

Overall Rating: 4.0 Mouse Clicks (Rating out of 5.0)

Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (A 'Different' Look at the Industry!)

  • Real Hitz 4 U got a new surf bar today! Hmmm....
  • TX Totalshare turned 2 months old this past week. Hmmm....
  • I got all my domains transferred to a 'reliable' registrar this week. Stay away from anything called 'Speedy'... Hmmm....
