One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

It's time for changes! I will be changing mailing list providers for all my newsletters including Hit Exchange News in the next few days. Please note that you may receive and update from me that will ask you to confirm your subscription to Hit Exchange News. I apologize for the troubles, but I am currently using 3 mailing list providers when I only need one. It's getting confusing and if anyone knows me, will know that I get confused when it comes to technical issues. LOL

Also, I have changed contact list providers with my Hit Exchange Survival Kit e-Course and if you would like to stay on that contact list (or join it), please do so by clicking the link. My e-Course has been re-written and new features added that will give you the inside track on how to get the best results from the traffic exchanges.

It's completely free to join and some folks have told me they started to get results after only the first few lessons. Be sure to click here to get your free e-Course today!

Thank you very much for being a subscriber and enjoy Hit Exchange News!

The News

  • Huge announcements from Hits Connect this week. It has added two huge new features, essentially you can now see where your sign ups are coming from as it tracks directly through to your 'thank you page' on a subscription form. This is a first in ad tracking! And also, traffic exchange surfers will love this, a new site checker has been developed to stop abusive i-frame sites that plague the exchanges. Big news, and great strides for Hits Connect.
  • Both I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic have added Alert Pay to all purchases and upgrades. By popular demand I have added this new payment processor and so far, the experience has been very smooth. Let's hope we finally get a second alternative to Pay Pal.
  • The 'racing game' is back at Max Traffic Pro. When this program launched it featured a fun little car racing game that was taken out because of troubles with the programming side of it. It's back now and all engines are fired up!
  • This Week's Splash Page Hall of Fame Entry is this page! Big bold red web page! It works. It grabs your attention and keeps it!

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. Dragon Surf
  2. Traffic Roundup
  3. TS 25
  4. Real Hitz 4 U
  5. Traffic Soldiers
  6. Traffic Swarm
  7. Traffic Splash
  8. Free Traffic Lotto
  9. Max Traffic Pro
  10. Traffic Punk

Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, Click Crazey and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. If you want to see how well they are performing each week, please check TestHoopla top 20 weekly ranking!

Deep Thoughts - Feature Articles

Unethical, Dishonest and Ignorant

That's what traffic exchange owners were labelled on a community forum this week that was actually created by traffic exchanges back in 2001. Scary huh? I always prided myself on having strong ethics, good morals and did my best to learn as much as I could about the world of business. But alas, different people will have different opinions about the traffic exchanges.

Now in no way do I expect everyone and their mother to love these programs. Heck, I get tired sometimes of clicking. But as business people, I think we should curb our attacks as much as possible. I'm not innocent at all! I am to blame for a lot of the anti - auto exchange remarks I have made in the past, and I try my best to 'grin' and let things slide. Opinions are opinions, there will always be two sides to a coin. But passion can hurt sometimes more than it can help...

I love the traffic exchanges. I think these programs are so empowering as we have seen huge names like Mark Joyner and Mike Filsaime get their feet wet by owning and operating these programs. They are the perfect entry point for new marketers and will continue to be there as long as folks have a dream of owning their own online business.

Do you have to love traffic exchanges? Absolutely not. But you MUST respect them!

The Voices of the TE Industry

Why Do We Surf? by Paul Kinder

I was thinking about this just the other day. I mean, there are masses and masses of exchanges to choose from. What makes you surf more?

I love design for example. This week saw the redesign of ILoveHits and the launch of Traffic Dodgems. I like a well branded, good looking surfbar. It tells me the owner is serious about their business. So, do you surf exchanges because they look good?

I also love to hear that an exchange is running a referral contest. You can guarantee that activity will increase because they’re bringing fresh members to your sites. So, RealHitz4U, Savvy Clicks and FastEasyTraffic will be catching a lot of my clicks for the next few weeks.

Do you surf exchanges just because they have some unique features? I like AKH because it offers random referrals for surfing and I surf StartXchange mostly because I want to see what Tim has changed this week. I’ll freely admit it. I’m a boy, I love toys!

And there is one thing that really attracts me to join an exchange and then stay active. Mass advertising! I see ILoveHits, DragonSurf, Magnify and a certain exchange featuring dolphins more often than all the rest. So I bet my bottom dollar they’re bringing in more new people. I spend much more time and money at those exchanges than the others.

However, there is one reason above all others that tempts me to surf or buy credits. Results. Pure and Simple. Results. I want signups. I want to provide random referrals for my upgraded members. I want to increase the market base for my members. I want more people upgrading so I can buy more advertising to keep it growing. So, I want signups!

As an owner I’m in a privileged position. I own my thank you page. That means I can track exactly how many signups each exchange is giving me. Not just how many clicks, but how many signups. That gives me a massive advantage over the average surfer who just cannot monitor that information. Or can they?

A little birdie tells me that the playing field is about to be levelled. I hear a new tracking system is coming out which will show ALL surfers exactly where their signups come from. So surfers will get exactly the same info that us owners get.

I also hear that a certain exchange featuring dolphins is going to be testing this new system in the next day or three. Splash on by. See the playing field being levelled

Paul Kinder is the owner of Traffic Splash. Traffic-Splash is a traffic exchange featuring dolphins!

Program Review - Soldier Surf

Unique themes can be hard to come by when starting a new traffic exchange. At first glance, this exchange could be compared, theme wise, to the popular Traffic Soldiers for using the military theme, but then you click on the link and look at what the owner, Paul Warren, came up with.

Soldier Surf uses a neat little 'army ant' to brand the program and is running off the familiar TCN Script. Members will be familiar with this script as it runs other exchanges like Max Traffic Pro and Traffic Splash. However, even though the site has some very good design work on it, something seems to be missing.

The front page needs some work as there is little information about the program and more to do with upgrade specials. This has the potential to scare away new members. With heavy promotion, this could be a solid program. It just needs a few teaks here and there.

Overall Rating: 3.0 Mouse Clicks (Rating out of 5.0)

Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (A 'Different' Look at the Industry!)

  • Traffic Swarm is not the oldest traffic exchange. Contrary to the advertising I have seen this past week on various 'traffic exchange information sites'. Hmmm....
  • I heard some owners don't value or respect the HEN Top 10 very much. No problem, it has been noted (and I'm glad you at least mentioned my newsletter lol). Hmmm....
  • The Forum Know How seminar had 68 people in it on Wednesday evening. Not too shabby, too much Squidoo though, not enough traffic exchanges =) Hmmm....
