The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!
May 12th, 2005

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

Are you active? I mean, how much do you surf each day in your favorite hit exchanges? I ask these questions to go along with this week's poll for H.E.N. readers.

One of the problems that face hit exchange owners is the inability sometimes to keep people surfing. I have always stated, getting people to join your hit exchange can be very easy, getting them to remain an active member is the hard part. So what do some exchange owners do?

Some have trivia, some have based their entire program's theme around a game, some have free credits, some have bonuses for finding letters. I mean, owners will try almost anything to keep people surfing because with activity comes the numbers and with the numbers comes the sales.

Bottom line, hit exchange owners want you to surf their hit exchange and surf it every single day. More exchange owners are now enforcing a new tactic, which to get your website seen by other surfers, you have to remain an active participant. It may be that you have to surf every week for a certain number of page views, or reach a target number every month, this seems to be another way to keep you surfing.

So here's this week's question. Do you find yourself surfing the hit exchanges more often that require you surf a number of sites to remain 'active' or does this have little to do with how active you remain in a program.

Things the make you go...Hmmmm

New Exchange of the Week

The News

  • I have to hand it to the Money Legs programs, their new 30 / 30 campaign is a very unique way to keep you surfing. I got an update from Viral Visitors this past week and basically the concept of the 30 / 30 plan is this. Your activity ranking in a hit exchange goes down everyday. To optimize your traffic flow, you should try to surf 30 times a day, for 30 days (30/30). What does this do? It keeps your website in heavy rotation and gets hits quicker than someone who surfs a day or so a month.
  • What's a focus point and how do I earn them? Focus 4 The Future is a new initiative by two well known hit exchange owners that are trying to bring exchanges to the fore front of online advertising. Focus Points is the new system which rewards program owners and affiliates by giving away merchandise, web site traffic and a host of other goodies to potential customers. This program is about to launch, and there is just way too much to explain here in a short paragraph. If this all goes as planned, it could be exactly what this industry has been looking for!
  • Wow, what a difference a week makes! Hit Hurricane could be described as the come back story of the month, as the new owner of this program has done a complete 180 degree turn. A brand new design, a new approach to the back end management has turned this once slow but steady exchange into an extremely active and effective program. What a huge improvement!

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, Click Crazey and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. If you want to see how well they are performing each week, please check TestHoopla top 20 weekly ranking!

Deep Thoughts - 7 Steps

This is an article I feature on my web site HitExchange101.com. I wanted to add this to this week's issue of H.E.N. to hopefully help some newer members to the hit exchange industry experience some success with their promotions. By no means is this a guarantee, it is just word for word, how I use the hit exchanges and see results. I hope it helps!

Tip 1 - Find yourself a 'starting point'! You will need a place to build your network of hit exchanges, and a secure program that grows with the industry. That is why I highly suggest joining ProfitRally.com. This is a 'business center' that has everything you will need to use in your hit exchange advertising arsenal. It is what we like to call a 'downline builder' and not only will you find the best hit exchanges on the net in this easy to use system, you can discover the many useful and effective tools for your hit exchange campaigns. This site has it all and again, with it's easy to follow instructions, your Profit Rally system can be up and running in no time.

Tip 2 - Become comfortable with all the tools and terms within the hit exchange industry. Learn what is a surf ratio, what a downline is, where is a surf bar located, and the dozens of other hit exchange terms that are around. Take your time! There is absolutely no rush in this business, you have to take your time and make sure you understand everything. If you need any help at all, drop me a line via e-mail, through my live support room or anytime by calling 1-306-374-6314.

Tip 3 - Network! Join Net Marketing Forum and introduce yourself to the world. Actually join as many online forums as possible, especially if you are trying to build a business and get to know your fellow entrepreneurs. Introduce yourself in the forums and spend a few hours poking around different topics of discussion. Not only is this a great learning experience but you never know who you will meet in a forum. Many of the people I first met in the online forums are now my business partners and associates. This is the MOST VALUABLE resource you have online, use it and meet the world!

Tip 4 - Keep focused. It's very easy to get lost in the shuffle and even easier to get swept away by all the big hype and big nonsense that frequents the hit exchange arena. Remember, this if nothing else, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. If some website is promising millions, it's best that you run for cover. However, this is where your 'network from Lesson 3' will come into play. If you have a question, ask around and see what other's experience may have been with it. So the key to this is very simple, once you have found your program or business of choice, buckle down and remain focused. Speaking of which....

Tip 5 - What is your business? Be a leader, not a follower! If you have a good idea, put it on paper. If you think that new website you just created may be popular, start to promote it. If you are already a member of a program, keep at it! Find what you are good at, and work with that. I started writing about hit exchanges, because I was good at working with them. It's a natural progression and if you search for it, you will find your reason for being online as well! We can all make a living online, it just takes time and effort (and a whole lot of networking!)

Tip 6 - Do not be afraid to ask questions! There is no such thing as a bad question and for my years of working online I have heard this all too many times 'I don't want to sound dumb'...Everyone was new to this industry, so do not hide any questions which you may have. Ask in the forums, e-mail me, phone me, write me a letter, just get the question answered. You will feel a lot better about your time online when you have an understanding of what you are working with. Hit exchanges can be quite complicated at times, there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking that burning question!

Tip 7 - Have fun! It's that simple. Work hard at your business, put in the time and effort you would any business and use the tools which are around you. However if you are not enjoying yourself, what is the point? I love my job, I love working from home and I would not trade it for the world. I used to flip pizzas about 4 years ago and while I made money, it was not making me happy. You should ENJOY your time online and your brand new business! It's yours!

Program Review - Traffic Exchange Network

This exchange was featured only a few weeks ago as the new program of the week but it has been performing so well for me, I thought it would a good idea to give it a review as soon as possible.

O.k., the program may not have the most earth shattering site design but wow, does this program ever impress me. Maybe it's because I LOVE when a familiar auto exchange script is turned into a manual exchange, but in all honesty, this program is a great new addition.

The owners of Traffic Exchange Network are extremely dedicated individuals who are and will be constantly improving this new exchange and the fact that over 450 members have joined in only a few weeks of being online...That's not too shabby!

Keep a watch on this program, as I think with a great design and logo, this could be one of the better new exchanges out today!

% Unique Traffic: 41
Results: 3.0 out of 5.0
Traffic Flow (Speed of Delivery): Fast
Site Design: 3.0 out of 5.0
Customer Service: 4.5 out of 5.0

Overall Rating: 3.5 Mouse Clicks (Rating out of 5.0)

  • Note to self: Be sure to check the entire e-mail that Web Biz Insider sends you, those extra 20 hits are there. Jon open your eyes! Hmmm....
  • Does it seem harder these days to fill all your 'SURFING' letters in TS25? Gotta love the dedication of some people though, wow, can they ever click! Hmmm....
  • Stay In Bed Income Dot Com? Hmmm....
