The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!
July 21st, 2005

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the new issue of Hit Exchange News!

I'm back! It's amazing what a week offline can do for your business. I feel very refreshed and ready to tackle the industry again. Welcome all the new subscribers to the latest issue of Hit Exchange News, it's great to be back!

Wow, what an eventful few weeks! It stands to reason, the only 7 days I decide to go offline turns out to be one of the most 'active' and controversial weeks of the year. There's been some fall outs between very close business associates, there has been major ownership changes in some very popular programs, and like I mentioned in Tuesday's very rare special update, Tony Tezak has released a brand new e-book called Hit Exchange Secrets.

Like I stated in the update, I'm very excited about this new book for many reasons, the first being it's a step by step guide for anyone to see exactly what methods Mr. Tezak uses in his daily promotions. Who cares right? Well, Tony is arguably the most well known 'surfer' on the block and if he has got just one tidbit of information that would help anyone get real results from the exchanges, wouldn't it make sense to check it out?

It makes sense to me, but some do not agree. So of course, in true H.E.N. fashion, it's time for this week's poll. The question is simple, are you planning on purchasing Mr. Tezak's new Hit Exchange Secrets e-Book? Be sure to vote and have you say below. It's been great to see people's reaction and while for the most part the feedback has been positive, everyone should voice their opinions.

New Exchange of the Week

The News

  • The big news of the week has been the fall out between Mr. Doug Williams and Mr. Jose Garriga Jr. The Cyber Wheelers web site has been offline for a while now and while this has become quite a heated debate (especially in NMF), it should be noted for the sake of both parties, a quick resolve is always best. I hope both Doug and Jose can come to an agreement and get it all sorted out...Keeping fingers crossed.
  • Paula Paula Paula...What a week for Paula Zuehlke with her acquisitions of Traffic Troll and Clicking Crazy. The owner of Hit Safari and Deep Sea Hits has got some big plans for these two exchanges and I myself cannot wait to see what is up her sleeve. One of the best traffic exchanges owners on the planet just added two very popular sites to her resume. This is going to be fun!
  • TS 25 turned one year old this past week and wow, what a year it has been. Arguably the best performing exchange online, TS 25 was exactly what this business needed a year ago. The program changed the way you looked at earning credits and for the first time actually made you rely on your own efforts instead of your downlines. The most active exchange on the net is still delivering each and every week. Happy one year TS!
  • Clickin Fingers also celebrated an anniversary this past week and this is very 'special' for me because this marks the second year of Hit Exchange News's existance. Next week, for Issue 100, it will officially be 2 wonderful years of the e-zine and I'd like to thank everyone for the wonderful support. You have all made HEN such a pleasure to create and next week will be quite an eye opening issue, I promise.

The HEN Top Ten results are based on traffic statistics (unique hits, traffic flow, hits delivered, traffic quality) and a touch of good old fashioned 'opinion'. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list in the Net Marketing Forum!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. TS 25
  2. Traffic Pods
  3. WebmasterQuest
  4. Hit Safari
  5. Wolf Surfer
  6. Web Biz Insider
  7. Traffic Roundup
  8. Pro Hits Plus
  9. Click Voyager
  10. Keno Clix

Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, Click Crazey and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. If you want to see how well they are performing each week, please check TestHoopla top 20 weekly ranking!

Deep Thoughts - The Slow Summer Myth

I don't know where this urban legend came from, and I laugh each and every time I hear it. Maybe I run my businesses different? Maybe I have a very odd business practice? Or maybe it's just an excuse?

The popular notion that the summer months seem to grind this industry to a halt is the biggest bunch of bull I've ever heard (for lack of a better term). Last year, at this time, my co-op DoctorTraffic.net experienced the biggest jump in customers for the entire year of 2004. This summer, even though I have been away for the past 2 weeks, has once again been sone of the best months of the year to date. Are my businesses abnormal or something?

Let's put it into perspective, from the 'real world'? When it's the summer, do the stock exchanges stop opening and closing? With the exception of students and teachers, do people get to sleep in during the summer months and not go to work? Did you tell your boss last week that it's hot outside so you won't be into the office? See what I'm getting at? The world does not stop for summer and neither should we. Are less people surfing the exchanges? Not on my watch they are not, but even if they are, great! That means the people you want seeing your site are the ones surfing the most, the people that treat this like a business and not like a summer holiday.

I apologize for the rant this week, but I think this myth is getting old. This is prime time for your business. This is prime time to be surfing the exchanges. Are you in North America? Guess what, half of the planet (and arguably some of the biggest untapped markets online) are in the middle of winter these next few months, so start promoting your stuff! Get out there and get your web site seen by the people you really want to get it in front of, the people that are working their tails off!

An excuse? Maybe, but I look at it like a big opportunity. Let everyone else say there's a slow down, when you are speeding up!

Program Review - Quik Hits

A new exchange of the week about a month ago, and in that time I have been very impressed with the results I have been getting from Quik Hits. This is one product arm from the new 'Marathon Project' business model, and what a fun introduction it has become.

Even though there has been some server troubles with this new exchange, Quik Hits has started to do what it's title suggests, deliver 'Quik Hits'. In my mention of it a few issues ago, the major problem I had was with the speed of delivery, well things have improved and once you get a custom to the script that it uses, Quik Hits is a very useful program.

The color scheme is great, the design really pops out at you and the traffic is flowing. I had decent results from this program and while not as much as another impressive new exchange Keno Clix, Quik Hits looks to be a solid addition.

% Unique Traffic: 71
Results: 3.0 out of 5.0
Traffic Flow (Speed of Delivery): Average
Site Design: 4.5 out of 5.0
Customer Service: 4.0 out of 5.0
Ease of Use: 4.0 out of 5.0

Overall Rating: 4.0 Mouse Clicks (Rating out of 5.0)

Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (A 'Different' Look at the Industry!)

  • Why does every update from Top Surfer say 'the last chance to get this special deal' or something along those lines? And then come back next week with a very similar if not the same 'credit / upgrade special'? Hmmm....
  • Rumor has it that Nick Martin is back in the business and lurking around certain forums...Welcome back Nick!!! Hmmm....
  • Bring back the MPAM / MPCM Solo Club! Please... Hmmm....
