Is It A Brand New Traffic Era? - Issue 202

Author: The T.E. Guy

So a little program called Traffic Era was launched this past week. It’s been the biggest story so far in 2008 and a very good way to start the new year in my opinion.

I will have a full review of the system next week because…Well, it’s not fully launched yet. I did however add a few pennies a couple of days ago when it first launched, check out ‘My Thoughts on Traffic Era’ on the left side of H.E.N. The guys at Logiscape have decided to ‘roll out’ this traffic exchange and release features one day at a time. Marketing genius?

At press time they have got 167 upgraded members paying them an average of $25 per month. I’m not totally sure, but that may seem a little lower than when TS 25 launched. So it begs the question. Was this everything it was hyped to be?

We shall see early next week when all the surfing features will be ready to go. For now, we enjoy the ‘teams and the groups’ and laugh at how it only took about 24 hours for the forum ’spammers’ to add their links…

Have a great week and happy surfing!

The News

- Darrell Dean’s Surfing For Success was released as well this past week. This has got to be one of the most useful tools I have ever seen for any traffic exchange surfer. The exclusive ’surfing calculator’ is the first program of it’s kind and something that could really help every single person that is looking to maximize their time in the traffic exchanges.

- Blue Surf got a new look and a complete re-design this past week. Again, this is one of the traffic exchanges I am watching with great interest. I still say it needs a logo, something to brand it, but so far it’s looking very nice.

- T.E. Scoop is a newer ‘news’ blog for traffic exchange related information. This has become a very active site and has tons of useful information. The biggest benefit to this site, is that it’s updated almost hourly to let you know when their are credit specials, exclusive offers, upgrade specials and so much more. One of the better ‘information’ sites I have found for all things that go ‘click’.

- Splash Page Hall of Fame - Want a crash course in personal branding? Tony Tezak essentially pioneered the concept in the early 2000’s. This splash page is just another example of how you can build a massive list and brand your name using the traffic exchanges!

HEN Top 10

The Famous Hit Exchange News Top 10 (Disclaimer: These are my top performing exchanges for the past week. Alexa rankings and fancy numbers have nothing to do with how I rank my list. This is based on results and my own opinion, nothing more, nothing less.)

1. Traffic Swarm
2. TS 25
3. Traffic Roundup
4. Traffic Splash
5. Dragon Surf
6. Traffic At The Races
7. Hit Safari
8. Link Crews
9. Royal Surf
10. StartXchange

Question: Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, SWAT Traffic and Click Crazey are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. (But we all know how great they are anyways lol)

Deep Thoughts - Jon’s Weekly Rambling

Jon Olson Sucks But…

Note: This was first posted in the group ‘Jon Olson Sucks!’ at the brand new traffic exchange called Traffic Era.

The title of this group /article may sound a little weird, but there is a method to my madness.

You see, in a lot of the traffic exchanges you can not only use them to get page views, but also banners and text links.

If you have been surfing lately, you may have noticed the same name of this group in various text ad’s around the industry. Seems kind of weird to tell everyone that I suck…That’s not the point of the promotions though.

It’s shock and awe. And it’s personal branding.

And it works!

Those text ads (and banners I created) that say ‘Jon Olson Sucks!’ are some of the highest click through rates I have ever seen.

Think ’shock and awe’ when creating any kind of advertising in the traffic exchanges. You want to stick out like a soar thumb and with a little bit of creativity you can!

Program Review - Major League Hits

Flying under the radar has it’s advantages. With all the hype and hoopla about Traffic Era this past week, there was another traffic exchange that actually launched before Era that has been performing very well. And hey, you can actually surf this one! (And earn commissions too!)

It’s called Major League Hits, and yes it’s a baseball themed traffic exchange. It’s based on the LJ Script and has all the features and systems in place you have come to expect from a traffic exchange using the script. However, this is another case of a strong owner being behind the scenes with an actual game plan on how to grow and make his program one of the premier exchanges online.

The design of the site is great. I love the logo and feel of the program however it will be overshadowed by Traffic Era for the next few weeks at least. This is the critical time for Major League Hits to do some massive advertising and really get it’s face known to the rest of the traffic exchange world.

A very solid addition to the traffic exchange industry and another great new program to start off 2008!

Jon’s Rating of Major League Hits - 4.0 out of 5.0

Things That Make You Go Hmmm…

- Whenever someone figures out how StartXChange’s top site ranking system actually ranks traffic exchanges, let me know.

- Whatever happened to the Downline Integrity Brigade?

- Traffic Era has 7 threads taking place at Net Marketing Forum. It looks like NMF is the ‘un-official’ support forum for Era lol

    Hi Jon

Thanks for the nice words. I am encouraging people to build their own personal splash page for Trafficera. Personal splash pages really do work.

    Cheers!
