I’m home after what seemed like an entire summer on the road. I’ve had a few days to contemplate the Washington D.C. Focus Seminar and what it meant for the traffic exchanges as a whole. You see, I breathe these programs. I love the traffic exchanges and while so many people were beside themselves drooling about potential ‘Ad Sense’ revenue and the hoopla of massive profits from being a super star affiliate, I was concerned about one thing and one thing only…

The traffic exchanges!

As for attendance, I have to credit this industry for coming together again. Only a few short years ago, there was about 5 of us at the ’round table’ for the ‘traffic exchange dinner’. This year I had the pleasure of taking 17 traffic exchange owners and surfers out for the dinner. 17! Think about that for a moment and you will see why I am thrilled about the future of this business.

What will come of the networks that were generated in D.C.? Who will joint venture for the next product? Which group of owners will join forces for a massive promotion? I’m excited for that! That’s what makes these events so special and I was delighted to be a part of another successful ‘meeting of the minds’ in the traffic exchange industry!

The News

- The award for most creative new add on for a traffic exchange has to go to Advertising Know How. If you have a Twitter account and an AKH account, AKH will actually post to your Twitter account that you have started to surf there. Embedded with your referral ID, this a great way to build your team at AKH and your brand in Twitter!

- The Viral Express is shutting down. In one of the more surprising updates this week, long time traffic exchange owner Jose Garriga Jr. announced that he would be shutting the doors at Viral Express. This was once a very established exchange and a lot of us old time surfers I’m sure were very shocked at the update.

- Rainforest Clicks had a pretty decent re-launch these past two weeks. What’s amazing about this story is that I remember when this program launched a few years ago and everyone loved it. It had some rough times since then, but this re-launch looks to have rejuvenated it. Time will tell, but so far so good.

The Super Surf Script - Week 2

It’s week 2 of the Super Surfer script and so far the feedback has been incredible. A lot of us had the chance to sit down and discuss the script in D.C. over the past weekend and the common question came up…How do we make this as powerful as it can be? We’re just hitting the tip of the ice berg with this new script and I expect huge things in the future.

Simple review of the script, join the following exchanges. Surf them all at once, and get anywhere from 10% to 20% surfing bonuses when you surf them at the same time;

As far as my results have shown, we had over 500 new members join I Love Hits last week alone, so the surfers are really enjoying this and getting the word out about the biggest JV in the history of the traffic exchange industry.

Give it a good go and test your results in those 5 exchanges. I have seen a massive increase in click throughs and results and if you are really creative, custom made specific splash pages TARGETING those 5 exchanges would increase your results ten fold…Give it a shot!

Things That Make You Go Hmmm…

- Rumor has it that there is going to big a pretty big launch on Monday for a new T.E.

- Just talked a good friend of mine who said about 10% are actually tracking their results in his exchange. Only 10%. That’s scary.

- Oh look, another Top 10 list with a lot of Super Surf sites in it. Guess why? Results speak for themselves and in my opinion, those are owners that are busting their tail to bring in new members to the exchanges!
