Issue 236 – Get More Buyers In The Traffic Exchanges!
I’ve been sending a few emails out to various lists about Michael Rasmuseen’s ‘Get More Buyers‘ home study course. This massively popular program was released earlier this week to a very warm reception.
It’s rare that I really embrace new IM products and push them but I do feel that Michael’s new course is something every marketer (and specifically traffic exchange surfer) should learn. It has become THE challenge to the popular IM myth that the ‘money is in the list’…
Creepy huh?
Something we have been hearing for years is now getting challenged and rightfully so. This course is wonderful for all new traffic exchange surfers and experienced ones alike. Remember, if you are using the traffic exchanges properly you should be branding your name and building your list…ONLY!
Get More Buyers teaches you what to do with that list once you have branded your name AND started to build your list. It’s one of those programs that you should really check out, but like so many times before only a handful will act on it…
For those that do and HAVE received Michael’s course, let me know your thoughts on it below. be sure to post your feedback on the product and give me your input. I would love to hear success stories and even potential failures as well in the comment section.
Thank you very much for being a reader of Hit Exchange News and have a wonderful week!

The News
- Hit Safari changed scripts this week. This is really strange because I thought the program was on a great script and it was working really well, but it has switched to an LJ environment (I Love Hits, Traffic At The Races, etc). This is not a bad thing, just strange because I did not think Hit Safari was broke or needed a new script. But it’s still trucking along an done of the best programs on the net.
- Logiscape released their new blog and support forum for all their family of traffic exchanges this past week. Not sure how active it will be, but given the resources this company has, there should be some high quality content on there very soon.
- StartXchange broke a little record this week. Get ready for this one. Tim Linden’s juggernaut program had over 318,000 page views in a single day earlier this week. That is just insane. I guess you can’t argue the fact that people love to surf there…Great stuff man!
- Want to win your own copy of the best selling traffic exchange book on Amazon.com, Hits, Clicks and Misses, (actually, it’s the only published book about T.E.’s on the planet), simply post a comment about this week’s issue of HEN! Congratulations to ‘Kenny’ for winning last week. Be sure to send your mailing address to me so that I can ship you a copy (hitexchangenews at yahoo dot com)!
- Splash Page Hall of Fame – Splash Page Maker continues to lead the way when it comes to unique and eye grabbing splash pages. Note: Why do I focus on splash pages every week? Simple, you MUST be using them in the traffic exchanges to get results. Get a custom made splash page by clicking here!

2. Traffic Splash
3. Traffic Swarm
4. Advertising Know How
5. Traffic Gold Rush
6. Web Biz Insider

Question: Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits, SWAT Traffic and Click Crazey are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. (But we all know how great they are anyways lol)

Deep Thoughts – Jon’s Weekly Rambling
Pitch Me or Leave Me Alone
I got kind of passionate this past week in Net Marketing Forum about emails I have been receiving of late from various traffic exchanges. I’ll go on a rant here about it but if you want to see the full blown ‘tiff’ about it, you can check out the thread about it at NMF.
Basically, some exchange owners are getting on my nerves. Why? Because of the absolute useless emails I have been getting about who won the surf competition for the previous day. Let me explain, I have no problem at all with you sending me a note with previous winners, in fact I think it’s a great idea…Here’s my beef though.
Sell me something! Get me to click something. Ask me to do something. I don’t care who won the contest, I don’t even care if I won, I want a special offer. i want to see something you are recommending. PITCH ME PLEASE!
Weird way of thinking huh? Not really if you are in the marketing arena and are trying to make a living from your traffic exchange. Very simple, we are in a sales environment, so sell me something. Doesn’t mean I’m going to buy every time, but I like the lessons. I enjoy seeing how people ‘sell’, I consider it part of my education in this business. I like nothing more than to see emails from Soren Jordansen and seeing how the guy is selling on a daily basis.
This is a sales business, whether people admit it or not. There is some science to selling and I do everything I can to get better at it each and every day. So please don’t tell me how many surfers surfed 2500 page views yesterday UNLESS you tell me I can get a 25% discount on purchased credits by logging in now.
Hmmm…Maybe some owners should think about ‘Get More Buyers‘ are in investment in their business….Maybe…

Woo, yes I bought the Get More Buyers videos through Jon, and so far I’m impressed. Michael’s got a great way of putting them together so it’s easy to follow!
I watched the videos the first night after I bought them through your link on ILH Jon,
Loved them.
I’m working on implemetning many of the ideas I read and watched. It’s great training! I will probably watch a few more times to ensure I got the content down completely.
As for your rant on “Pitch Me Something” I’ll agree I should probably do it more, but sometimes I think readers need a break from a pitch every day or even every email.

The big thing for the ‘pitch’ is that people are asked to do something. Log in, check out a referral link for a service, something. Doesn’t have to be a big full blown sales pitch, but the point is get me to do something rather than yap about who won a surfing contest.
Thanks guys, glad you enjoy the videos. Keep the comments coming!
I totally agree with your “rant”. I look forward to reading emails from Jordansen, Puddy, Kinder, et. al.
Pitches do get tiring, but reading them from those guys is a learning experience.
I want to comment about Hit Safari. I liked most the latter version of the script.
When I first saw “Get More Buyers” on DragonSurf I was shocked that I was told to build a list and all I get is a “freebie” seekers.
I know that I have to build that relationship and “make” buyers.
We – surfers just don’t get buyers unless You make him pay first, before he joins Your list. That qualifies him as a buyer and I guess Michael is talking about it.
Getting buyers is where You should focus Your efforts, but to keep them is where it takes a skill and persistence.
I will have to pass this course until I have the skills and resources to implement the strategies inside the course.
Otherwise, there’s no use of knowledge, if You can’t implement it.
I know it because it happened to me before
So the morale is, don’t buy it unless You have resources – time and money – to implement this powerful knowledge.
Besides, the knowledge inside “Jon Olson’s Loyality book” is what You should really focus on.
Cheers!

Hi Jon
Very good content, still have not tried ‘How to Get More Buyers’ , as my plate is over flowing rite now.
Also a note about “Hit Safari” I was very satisfied with the old script.
Not to happy about the change.
Main reason; the new icons in surf bar, tend to fade a lot, which in turn makes them harder to identify. That means more time focusing on the surf bar, and Less time to focus on the content. which I thought was the main reason for surfing.
Would be really nice if all T E owners realized this point.
Have a great day dave
I have started watching some of the videos in Get More Buyers. Michael does a good job explaining things. Anyone interested in growing and nurturing their list should get the course.
This was a great pitch. And agree that we need more pitches in the industry. Sell, sell and sell. Create and spread wealth!
