PayPal lets you file disputes for TE services?

I was not getting an answer from a TE owner that I had paid for a year's upgrade and got locked out after a month, and I tried to file a dispute after a half dozen attempts in a month's time...and PP told me that type of service is not covered in their Dispute Resolution Program.

So I'm really scratching my head over this information.

Anyway, as far as the sardine can goes, I don't know why, but I always enjoy flying, and I like it when there is turbulence. Heh heh.

Although I heard recently of a woman whose neck was broken while sitting in the 'loo" and there was MAJOR turbulence. THAT I would not like.

Maybe they should put seat belts in there.

Hey Jon

I was hoping you would have given Listsurfing another mention with 5000 membership in just over 4 weeks since launch on April 2nd.

Totally agree Jon. I thought about doing a TE for a long time, then I realized how nuts the idea was without serious resources to make it successful.

Hi Jon.

Although there may have been a brief moment I thought about owning a traffic exchange, I decided to leave that up to the gals and guys who are running successful ones.

I'll just do my part to help with their success by using them to brand myself, build my lists and grow my business.

It's a very exciting time in the traffic exchange industry and I'm just glad to be part of it.

I certainly agree there are a lot of TE's. Many
of them not very good. I think the main reason
people start TE's is to build their list, just like
a lot of present TE owners did.
With a captive audience, an owner can promote,
promote and promote some more.
The line "to stop 'information' please delete
your account" at the bottom of most TE's
says it all.

Hey Jon,

As you know I launched Major League Hits about 17 months ago to very little fanfare.

In fact, I think 4 people, including you, may have made mention of it in a newsletter or email they sent out to their subscribers on launch.

Through the sweat of my brow and listening to some really savvy people I have been able to grown that to 8,900 members as of today.

Having said all of that, I agree that launching a new traffic exchange is not the best of ideas at this time unless you have really good partners at your back AND a new twist on the concept like Darren Olander did with ListSurfing.

Still, I will say that even if you don't have a new concept or lots of partners you CAN turn a poor performing business into one that brings in a steady income IF you are willing to learn and put in a lot of effort to test, track, and tweak things.

A couple of months after I launched MLH I was only bringing in about $200-$300 per month. In April I brought in over $2500 per month in sales alone and several hundred more in affiliate income. So I think with a little hard work and a lot of learning and discipline you can turn something like a TE into something great if you really have the drive.

I don't plan on ever launching another traffic exchange unless I sell the one I currently own (even though I "co-own" HelpHits it really is Connie's show now).

I do agree that a TE related service is the way to go now.

I've always appreciated your views on the industry and the longer perspective that you have had.

Thanks again for something new to think on!
