“If your traffic exchange doesn’t generate at least $250 a week, shut it down!”

I made that comment in a post at Net Marketing Forum only a few minutes before I started to write this week’s issue of H.E.N. and well, I opened my mouth and I’m sure this will generate some hate mail…

Let me EXPLAIN myself here…

1) I completely stand by this. Folks, if you own or are thinking of owning a traffic exchange, the thing needs to generate income. 35 dollars a day is not that big a target to hit, especially if you are running your program properly.

2) This should be the goal (a very small target to hit) for any traffic exchange that is starting up or a few months old. Here comes the REAL hate mail now….If your exchange is 6 months old and NOT at 35 bucks a day, it’s time to shut it down.

Why?

Here’s the kicker, that effort you are putting into growing your exchange that isn’t making a profit for you could be spent on list building that will get you results. Some of the most successful traffic exchange owners on the planet, built their lists FIRST and then started a traffic exchange. You can do the same thing!

This isn’t meant to be mean, it’s meant to be a wake up call. The amount of poorly run programs is astronomical these days and most of the bad ones just seem to stay online and not much else, they rarely pay commissions, they never answer support questions, they are never promoted, they just exist….

Time to shut them down folks, if they aren’t making the bacon for you, invest in something more profitable!

Thank you very much for being a reader of Hit Exchange News and have a wonderful week!

The News

- Traffic Dealer is a week old now and had a pretty decent launch. While the launch was good, the real test now will be if the surfers support the new and original idea of Dealer. I have to applaud though, anything ‘new and unique’ is always welcomed in the traffic exchange world!

- $1500 in Cash prizes? That’s what is being awarded during the latest joint contest from JetStream Traffic, Traffic Punk, Traffic at the Races and Traffic Gold Rush! My only concern is that the contest lasts 8 weeks, I would have loved to see this short and powerful. Regardless, 4 great programs working together is another welcomed sign for the industry!

- Speaking of Traffic At The Races, big news from that camp this week as they have now introduced commissions for all members. That’s right, you now can make money from the ‘horses’ and not by gambling! Way to go Duck Man!

- Cast your vote today for your favorite traffic exchanges at Affiliate Funnel’s Surfer’s Choice ranker. This is YOUR voice and YOUR opinion on what traffic exchanges you feel are the best in the business. Be sure to vote every day and get your opinion heard!

- Splash Page Hall of Fame – Paul Kinder is a machine! Traffic Splash’ latest ‘Dollar Per Referral’ promotion is sure to generate a lot of attention, especially with this new splash page! Note: Why do I focus on splash pages every week? Simple, you MUST be using them in the traffic exchanges to get results. Get a custom made splash page by clicking here!

Question: Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. (But we all know how great they are anyways lol)

Deep Thoughts – Jon’s Weekly Rambling

The Achilles Heel of Online Business

This is a rant. So please be warned, I may seem a little more ‘ticked’ than usual. This has to do with online business. I love it. I wouldn’t do anything else, ever. It’s my passion, more specifically the traffic exchanges are my absolute passion.

But I’ve got beef! And it has to do with ‘customers’ running to Pay Pal and filing disputes at the drop of a dime. ENOUGH! If you want your money back, ask for it. Don’t run to Pay Pal and say ‘the product wasn’t what was advertised’ or ‘I didn’t like it’ or my favorite ‘I never agreed to pay a subscription (even though I pressed ‘pay subscription’)'…

Folks, please understand, I’m not debating whether or not you should file disputes on fraudulent sellers and merchandise, but when someone has over 4000 transactions and has had a Pay Pal account since 2001, just ask them for the money back…No need to run and falsely accuse people of ‘stealing’ your money because you did not read the payment terms you agreed to.

Quality programs and quality owners aren’t going anywhere, and they would rather you were happy then pocketing the 7 bucks for your subscription. We want customer satisfaction to be our primary concern, and we need your help. Let us WORK with you if you have any problems with our services…

I’m just pleading now…No more running to Pay Pal and filing disputes.
