I was wondering about the last few emails from you (sent via TW) that the links weren’t clickable. Kinda annoying having to copy/paste link to get here.

Good thing I like you & your stuff or I wouldn’t go to that effort. LOL

Interesting that ALL the trafficwave links at bottom of all emails I’ve gotten ARE clickable in those “same” emails, tho. heh heh

I receive text emails from most people via Aweber, GR and other ARs and they didn’t have that problem so maybe TWave needs to come up with a fix.

Plain text is plain text regardless of the platform that delivers the text.

It depends entirely on the email client reading the email to convert plain text to a clickable link.

Hot Mail and Yahoo convert plain text URLs somewhat randomly. I have not figured out the logic.

Gmail seems to convert all URLs beginning with http:// to a clickable html link in the client reader.

For outgoing email, some delivery platforms may insert the html code automatically behind the scenes for you.

But even when sending an email from Gmail, you have to highlight the text link and create a hyperlink if you want to ensure the link is clickable in the reader’s inbox.

You do not have to format an entire email copy in html to add the html code behind a link. It’s one-step easy.

Otherwise, just tell those who say the link is not clickable to get a Gmail account. (No marketer should count on Hot Mail or Yahoo to reliably deliver important email.)

Anyway to get the links to work in plain text emails?

Been there, done that.

To ensure your links are clickable, insert a hard code link in the html source. You can use the tool bar button or go to the source code.

I’ve had the same problem in the yahoo email client regardless of the source of the email (including aWeber). Some email clients do not convert all URLs to clickable links. But if you send an html version with your link embedded, the links are always clickable.

One more hint…

Separate paragraphs with double line breaks. Yahoo and some other clients read paragraph breaks differently. The standard is to use line breaks.

Lynne – Ya uStream has been acting weird of late, breaking people up and putting them in different rooms. I think they have been working on the system a lot because of the new iPhone app.

And ya, I heard that the Traffic Wave emails the links aren’t working in MSN and Yahoo. They seem to be fine in Google though.

Any ideas? I’m lost LOL

Just wanted to let you know your links are NOT clickable in hotmail! I have to do the old copy n’ paste to get to HEN now.
