It was missed. While my heart goes out to the people of Haiti let us not forget that a devastating 6.5 earthquake hit the coastal city of Eureka, California a few days before the one in Haiti on Fri Jan 8th and that Eureka has been declared a disater area by the Governor of California with over 45 million dollars in damages and climbing in a small town of 26,000 residents. Houses were torn from their foundations, buildings were knocked down and some people are now homeless. I live in EUREKA and was very lucky. I have only suffered about $7300 In unrecoverable damages far better off then many people in this region. I sent a donation to Haiti but please don't forget to take care of our own here in North America.
