Issue 287 – The Longest Seven Days In Traffic Exchange History
Are you a member of I Love Hits?
If so, I need your help this week and I promised I will make this as easy as possible. Basically I’m changing email services for the ENTIRE traffic exchange and I’m attempting to move everyone over to the new list.
So far, it’s been smooth with just one little hiccup. This will not change your account information, it’s just an easier way for me to manage my communication with members using the service provided by Traffic Wave.
I know it’s a bit of a hassle and I do appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. This will NOT be a habit and I won’t be changing things any time soon. But after 9 years, it’s time for I Love Hits to have a reliable email provider.
Thank you very much for being a reader of Hit Exchange News and have a wonderful week!

The News
- Looks like the traffic exchanges aren’t the only programs that deal with shady software, a recent post in Net Marketing Forum shows us that even the safelists can be hurt by ‘the easy way out’.
- Here’s a ‘steal’ if I ever saw one. William Brant’s famous 13 Deadly T.E. Tragedies has now become a free report. That’s right, you no longer need to pay the 7 dollar fee and you can grab your copy right now by clicking here!
- There’s some very cool stuff on the horizon at Traffic Exchange Live. Not only are we STILL streaming every week day, we’ve got some cool things coming up for the toolbar. Only way to stay up to date is to tune in…3pm Eastern every weekday!
- Notice: Cast your vote today for your favorite traffic exchanges at Affiliate Funnel’s Surfer’s Choice ranker. This is YOUR voice and YOUR opinion on what traffic exchanges you feel are the best in the business. Be sure to vote every day and get your opinion heard!
- Splash Page Hall of Fame – Personal branding and list building, done RIGHT! Lynn McCutcheon gets it! Note: Why do I focus on splash pages every week? Simple, you MUST be using them in the traffic exchanges to get results. Get a custom made splash page by clicking here!

The Famous Hit Exchange News Top 10 (Disclaimer: These are my top performing exchanges for the past week. Alexa rankings and fancy numbers have nothing to do with how I rank my list. This is based on my results and my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.)
1. Traffic Splash
2. Thumb Vu
3. StartXChange
4. Max Traffic Pro
5. Tezak Traffic Power
6. Traffic Era
7. Hit Safari
8. Traffic Punk
9. Dragon Surf
10. Traffic Witch

Question: Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. (But we all know how great they are anyways lol)

Deep Thoughts – Jon’s Weekly Ramblings
I’m sitting in front of my computer today, preparing another issue of Hit Exchange News and I’ve got to admit something, this week it’s been VERY tough to find things to write about.
Usually I can find tidbits here and there, but during the past 7 days the traffic exchange industry has been, well, dull.
There’s usually some kind of promotion, some new feature, something of note. This week, it was very tough to find news. And I’m not pointing fingers at all, just trying to give us all a kick in the rear end.
We need innovation. We need stuff that will keep us surfing, keep us talking, keep us focused. Where are they? Where are the owners who are stepping up and creating something to rave about in this industry. We need more of them!
And don’t get me wrong, I think I’m writing this to remind myself that I can’t be ‘comfortable’ with what my programs are. I need to keep them growing, keep them in front of people. This is industry wide, not one or two owners, all of us.
Are you a surfer? Demand to see changes. Make your ideas known. Let the owners know what you want to see. If you are an owner, get in touch with your members and ask their opinions.
We all benefit when we see innovation, the industry grows and more people get excited about the potential these programs can bring. Let’s get busy!

Hey Jon! Glad to see that Thumbvu is performing well for you! ty!
Also I checked out netmarketingbooks.com yesterday and am in need of the next book to read just not sure where to start with so many good ones. Of all the ones listed which one would you say is your most favorite?
So Jon the question I have for you.. who is “the foot”?
Regarding downline integrity. It is really up to the downline actually. You can’t keep people in a box. If you provide great support to your downline, they will keep you in mind when you mention something new to them. If you are a lazy sponsor, they will look elsewhere. Nuff Said. RG
So what was the “just one little hiccup”? Don’t tease us that way!
Do you keep old trafficexchangelive somewhere? I am usually at my day job and can’t see the broadcast.
Love reading your stuff!
Oh wow, I’m blushing. :: blush::
When I was asked about a link to my squeeze page today “for HEN”, I thought it was just gonna be some link… LOL.
Thanks for the kind words, Jon. I think I’m kinda obnoxiously all over the place (heh) but in the last couple of weeks, two people I didn’t previously know have said to me “Oh yeah, you’re everywhere!” and I got name-checked somewhere else I wasn’t expecting so I reckon stuff’s working, and I certainly do see results more and more as time goes on. Steady and not “fast”, but the last few months have definitely been an improvement over my two years online before that.
If everybody would just use squeeze and splash pages, ditch the long generic affiliate sales pages, go to AF every time the door’s open (and now TL2I too) – they’d get results too. And keep going back to AF until they “get it”. It took me several months to truly “get it” too but I finally did.
Sometimes I wish Rob’s new TrafficLeads2Income had been there last summer when I was getting active again and didn’t have anything major to promote along with promoting me, but then again if it had been, I probably never would have started the blog. But TL2I has definitely removed the given those who need something an edge and something to promote, if they use it correctly (and don’t go promoting the long generic sales page in TEs, LOL).
Anyway thanks again for the props, big guy – I’m blushing but honored.
Hi Jon,
As I’m doing FOOT work on reading my te blogs, surfing, and making some new splash pages, just wanted to say that I think your blog is great and keep the foot..work coming..lol..I know u got it.
When it comes to downline integrity I agree completely with RobG: I’ve always believed that people join people, not programs, and I’ll generally wait and join under the person that’s already proved to be ‘there for me’. That said, if I see a great splash page some-one’s taken the time to make themselves then I’m not adverse to filling in my details
So it’s been a quiet week? Sometimes that’s a good thing – it gives us mere mortals a chance to catch our breath, re-examine the programs we’re already part of and consolidate our marketing strategies without wondering if we’re missing out on ‘the’ tool we need!
Hi Jon,
I would love to see some innovations in the TEs. The same old contests and joint surfing promos are making me tired and bored. But honestly I don’t know what could be done to make surfing more interesting.
I do have a short wish list – I wish all exchanges had one click hit distribution, I wish I didn’t have to send in support tickets to say I surfed the required number of pages, and I wish some owners would just send ONE e-mail per day!
Thanks for all you do, Jon, and if I think of something brilliant, you’ll be the first to know!

Love the comments folks, thanks so much for all of them. Keep them coming!
You didnt answer Tim’s question about “The Foot” Jon
