I love networking!

So much so that I try to do it all day. While some people are working on ad copy, sending emails, surfing the traffic exchanges, in the back of mind I’m always trying to figure out new ways to basically meet new people in the industry.

A few years ago, when Facebook was getting revved up and Twitter was just starting, I had this crazy idea to add ‘social Profile Pages’ to I Love Hits. The idea on paper made a lot of sense. I mean the traffic exchanges are a wonderful place to meet like minded individuals and with the launch of programs like Traffic Era, I saw huge potential for the whole social aspect of the traffic exchanges but alas, I just had ideas and no one to implement them as I envisioned.

Thank God for Austin Hallock because this guy ‘gets’ what I’m trying to do and has just crafted what I think are the perfect addition to I Love Hits. I’d like to introduce you to the brand new ‘Profile Pages’ at I Love Hits!

As you can see, there’s lots going on but the main points of these pages are to share your social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook but also allow members to direct message each other, add ‘friends’ and here’s the best part every single Profile Page is linked directly to your name in the surf chat system. So when you see someone you want to ‘meet’ while surfing, click their name in chat and presto you can add them to your network.

This however, is just a tool. And like any tool it doesn’t ‘work’ itself. I am urging members of I Love Hits and readers of Hit Exchange News to try out these new Profile Pages. Add new friends. Direct message your fellow surfers. Follow them on Twitter. USE THE TOOLS that are there in front of you and you will start to see the power of networking.

Enjoy the new ‘Profile Pages’ and please let me know what you think. I am looking forward to hearing your feedback!

Thank you very much for being a reader of Hit Exchange News and have a wonderful week!

The News

- HUGE NEWS this week as the ‘CB Pirates’ are at it once again. Get ready for Part 2 of the legendary CB Pirate marketing system. This is very important, you need to click that link to get in on the pre-launch webinar and launch list. This is NOT something you want to miss, I’m still enjoying the benefits of the first CB Pirate launched almost a year ago. This is going to be HUGE!

- We’re getting VERY close to the launch of Pony Surf…Maybe! But I know something for sure, this is going to be unlike anything you have seen before in the traffic exchanges. Actually, it’s not even a traffic exchange. Or is it? I don’t know, you be the judge…Launch is coming very soon =)

- It’s still only a little over a week that Get Referrals Fast launched and the numbers are still some of the best I have seen for a program actually doing what is advertised. I’ve gotten paid sign ups to Traffic Wave, massive amounts of downlines across the traffic exchange industry and if you got a chance to attend one of Mike’s seminars this week…Wow!

- Urgent Notice: Cast your vote today for your favorite traffic exchanges at Affiliate Funnel’s Surfer’s Choice ranker. This is YOUR voice and YOUR opinion on what traffic exchanges you feel are the best in the business. Be sure to vote every day and get your opinion heard!

- Splash Page Hall of Fame – Expect to see this squeeze page a lot in the next few days as Soren, Cindy & John take over the IM world once again! Note: Why do I focus on splash pages every week? Simple, you MUST be using them in the traffic exchanges to get results. Get a custom made splash page by clicking here!

HEN Top 10

The Famous Hit Exchange News Top 10 (Disclaimer: These are my top performing exchanges for the past week. Alexa rankings and fancy numbers have nothing to do with how I rank my list. This is based on my results and my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.)

1. StartXChange
2. Easy Hits 4 U
3. Traffic Era
4. Traffic Punk
5. Tezak Traffic Power
6. Traffic Splash
7. Dragon Surf
8. Max Traffic Pro
9. Traffic Swarm
10. Hit Safari

Note: Analysis and Tracking by T.E. Toolbox – The Official Link Tracking Service of Hit Exchange News!

Question: Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. (But we all know how great they are anyways lol)

Deep Thoughts – Jon’s Weekly Ramblings

I had a little rant in Net Marketing Forum this week and even though it didn’t get me hot under the collar as most rants do (surprise surprise) it did give me something to think about when I saw some of the replies to the thread. You see, there is someone that is now selling mods for the LJ Script that basically turn any LJ Script into a solo ad machine.

Now here’s my problem with this, I didn’t sign up to be solo advertised too by hundreds of members a week. YES, I expect and WANT updates and pitches from the traffic exchange owner but to get them daily by the dozens from members, well…

As always my good buddy Stephen Carr set me straight and essentially said it like this…Things change Jon, deal with it. And he’s right. These programs rarely stay the same for too long. Every month new features come out, new trends start up and as a owner and surfer of these programs it’s up to me to deal with it, accept it and learn how it can benefit me.

Rest assured though, I’m not going to be sending solo ads to any of you or any of my members in my traffic exchanges. Heck, I still scratch my head when I see some of these programs doing an about face and starting the solo ad campaigns but alas, it’s not my business and I should mind my own…

Adapt or die, I guess that is the message that I took from my rant. For me, it’s more learn to live with the odd decisions others make and shut up when I have an opinion about them…

Check out the rant section in Net Marketing Forum for more of my silliness!

Things That Make You Go Hmmm…

- Thinks I should have trademarked things like splash pages, sites of the week and all my acronyms over the years LOL Ahhh well.

- I’m still looking for more traffic exchange coffee mugs. Got one? Make a post…

- “All that I know I learned after I was thirty…” – Georges Clemenceau (It’s my 33rd birthday this weekend…Still just a pup I know but still…)
