One Of The Best I’ve Read…And I Want To Give Some Away…
If you attend TE Live regularly you know I’ve been NOSE DEEP into books since the beginning of the new year. So much so that I’ve read 5 books already in 11 days…Recently though, I have finished what I think is one of the best business books I have ever read and I did a short video review here;
So there you go. Leave your suggestion on what book you think I should read next and I will give away a few copies of David and Brian’s book.
I am looking forward to reading your suggestions and good luck!

How about a great book on change?
“Who Moved My Cheese”
by Spencer Johnson, M.D.
Eric
For being first….You get a book. Thanks Eric and yup, that’s a classic for sure!
I have read A Year To Success by Bo Bennett. Not new but a good read, especially for a beginning marketer. Great daily goals with motivation thrown in. Read it all or follow along and read it daily.
Thanks Catherine, I really appreciate the suggestion. Going to check it out now!
Hey you said before you have read all of Jeffery Gitomer books like little gold book of yes?? I love all of his books
Larry ya man, he’s got a new one coming out I think in April. i can’t wait for that but yes, Gitomer is one of my all time favorite authors. My favorite, Customer Satisfaction Is Worthless, Customer Loyalty Is Priceless
Hi Jon
I’d never really heard of the ungreatful dead before today, but a guy at work was making a horrible noise come out of his computer today and it turned out to this band, so I guess that’s why I had to comment.
In terms of the next book to read I thought that Integration Marketing by Mark Joyner was an excellent read. Also Rich Dad, Poor Dad is always worth reading again.
Andrew
Andrew LOL Thanks man, did I call them the ungratfeful dead somewhere? LOL Wow, that’s embarrassing if I did…
Jon,
I am going old school. I am currently reading “Ziglar On Selling”. This book is timeless as to the approach of selling yourself and taking care of your customers.
I cannot believe that the only quote people freely throw around is Help others to get what you want. There is so much more that I have taken from what I have read so far.
People stop looking for a fast fix to make you rich, It doesn’t exist. Stop regurgitating other people’s views on the industry.
Make an investment in yourself and pick up a book. No one is going to put you in a high chair and spoon feed your whittle mowf.
I also want to add that I looked at Ziglar on Selling for years on my bookshelf and it didn’t do anything for me. The light went off in my head when I cracked the book.
I believe that Ziglar on Selling is a book you should read and reread again.
Regards,
Charles Smith
I found ‘Dark Side Strategies’ was very informative and a good one to help marketers avoid mistakes.
I also agree with ‘Who Moved My Cheese’. It has stuck in my head. Great for those who suffer from stickedness. I’m a grandmother and now trying to get a start in online marketing with not much success so far. Sick of broken promises so I’m forging away with dogged determination.
Charles, thanks man. Yup I have that on my shelf, haven’t started it yet but I will now for sure.
Thanks Janny – much appreciated!
The last book I read was
“Advertising Profits From Home”
By Anthony Morrison
He is the guy on TV that made Millions promoting affiliate links. Google Him
The parts of his book on social media/twitter advertising did teach me a few new tricks. One of his suggested programs made me $1000 last year, so I guess it was worth the $19.99 I spent on the book.
Through your suggestion on day a few months back on TELive, I picked up a copy of the Purple Cow by Seth Godin and loved it. I will be picking up a copy of this book next, is it on your recommended list yet? =)
It’s kinda funny, I’ve always had trouble getting through an entire book, but that seems to have changed now!
Thanks Jon!
Hey Jon,
Just got done reading “Rework” by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson. Great book if you haven’t read it yet, it’s a pretty quick read but some good stuff.
I’ve seen this book on the shelves also, but hadn’t got to it. Guess I better do it now. My recommendation is “Appreciation Marketing” by Tommy Wyatt & Curtis Lewsey. A quick, easy, fun read that will get the point across without boring you.
One of my favorite marketing related book that I have read was a book by Malcolm Gladwell called ” The Tipping Point “.
It was 2005 when I got seriously involved with network/internet marketing and the word ‘ viral’ was being thrown around and I had no idea what it really meant util I read that book.
The book gives real life examples of how a simple idea or a product or a message can spread like a cold virus.
“The Law of the Few”, or, as Gladwell states, “The success of any kind of social epidemic is heavily dependent on the involvement of people with a particular and rare set of social gifts.”[3] According to Gladwell, economists call this the “80/20 Principle, which is the idea that in any situation roughly 80 percent of the ‘work’ will be done by 20 percent of the participants.
If you read the above statement and compare that to the group’s activities within traffic exchange industry or any the traffic exchange programs out there, it does kind of apply doesn’t it.
The fact is, only a fraction of members of any group or members of a traffic exchange program will promote on regular basis and regardless of their skills and resources it could make or break that program for the long term.
I highly recommend this book.
Take care.
Paul
Since I didn’t win, I guess I will have to buy this book next.
I’ve been reading the Zen of Social Media Marketing by Shama Hyder it has been super informative and inspired a few blog posts, she outlines her “ACT Blueprint” which helps you to develop a well rounded plan to use various methods of generating traffic, converting sales, and transforming sales back into attraction, using mostly social media, but it talks about traditional marketing and SEO a bit too all as parts that work together to continue the cycle.
I don’t care if you give me the book or not, you need to read The Zen of Social Media Marketing, it’s only $10 in the kindle store.
Hey Jon,
I recommend Never Fly Solo by Lt. Col Rob “Waldo” Waldman. It’s about leading with courage, Building trusting relationships and reaching new heights in business.
“In Never Fly Solo, Rob “Waldo” Waldman shares potent, personal leadership lessons on what it takes to access the power of your wingmen. If you want a former fighter pilot with 65 combat missions as your wingman and if business success is your target, take flight with Waldo’s book and earn your wings. You’ll never fly solo again.”
-Jeffrey Gitomer-…bestselling author of The Little Red Book of Selling.
Great post man
Randy
Thanks everyone for the great suggestions…Tom I’m going to check that one out for sure.
John – Nice, I’ll check it out, thanks for that.
Eric – Funny huh? In school I couldn’t be bothered to read. Give me a subject I’m passionate in and I keep going…
William – Yup, I loved that one bro. It was fantastic!
Paul – Yes, that is a classic!
Randy – Thank you sir, appreciate the suggestion and kind words.
O.K., I’m going to be picking the two winners soon… =)
Thanks Dixie – Much appreciated!
I would recommend Think& Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill very good read. It could take you to a new level.
Jon – have you read anything by Tim Sanders? Best author I’ve read on business-relationshipping in the real world. My fav is “Love is the Killer App”. It’s a few years old, but he hits a homerun on what life is all about – from a business perspective.
Thanks Kent – I will give that a look at for sure. Much appreciated!
The best book I have read in this web, is already a classic. It is about how to earn an online income. It was written by Dr. Ken Evoy It has been selling now, not sure 8 or 9 years. He tells it as should be and documents what he is writing with a lot of facts. Exactly where it is to obtain not sure any more, but to last under ayecasher.com or khup.com or hubpages.com A tip I like it because he not only gets to the nitty-gritty of what he is talking about, you could consider him a guru just like me. hahahaha
Good Job, Jon like always.
Jay Dee
Sorry I forgot to list the title. I have been writing articles all night I apologize It is ” Best Ebook Ever”
Jay Dee
hahaha Am I tired? yes! It is is listed under “Best Ebook Ever!” Title “Make Your Words sell”

suggestions here.
A couple of my favorites: The Four-Hour Work Week. Timothy Ferris Instant Income. Janet Switzer
Thanks again.
Matt
Thanks Matt – yup I enjoyed 4 hour work week a lot. I’ll have to check out the other one for sure.
Hi Jon,
My all time favourite net marketing book was and is
Make Your Site Sell!
It and the company behind it are the sole reasons why I got into
online business and stayed with it through thick and thin.
The intergity of the company (and founder Ken Evoy), the quality of the products and the incredible training and support
have yet to be topped anywhere on the net. Except of course for yourself, Jon, I Love Hits and your other endeavours. In your area you are certainly one of my mentors.

Hey Jon I actually have 2 one that I already read and one that I’m in the processes of slowly reading.
The first one is King Of The Cowboys The Life and times of Jerry Jones, I say this one because its tells of how Jerry became a Billionaire in the oil industry, and How he turned the Dallas Cowboys ( My Favorite Team) into the muti trillion Dollar Machine They Are Now.
The Second Book is Super Self Doubling Your Personal Effectiveness by Charles J Givens author of wealth without risk
@David way to go walk the talk man! Social engagement is what it’s all about!
