Lots of cool stuff to announce this week, as well as a ‘meeting of the minds’ across the pond in Bristol this weekend. Before I get into that, I wanted to send a special congratulations to my good friend Jack Schafer and his traffic exchange Hit Pirate.

Jack announced this week that Hit Pirate hit the 10,000 member milestone and while this doesn’t make HP the biggest traffic exchange out there, what it does is show people that persistence and doing this ‘part time’ can translate into something special.

People that know Jack, know the guy works a lot of hours at his offline job and even though he does, Hit Pirate is run like a full time gig. So congrats to Jack and his dedication to his craft. Here’s to another 10,000 sir, keep it coming!

Something I Touched On Earlier…

I mentioned Sunny Suggs’ release of All About Traffic Exchanges in the News this week and wanted to stress a point I tried to make in the news brief.

You see, this industry is buzzing. Traffic exchanges continue to grow by leaps and bounds and we have more six and seven figure operations than ever before. Seems like a sure bet, get a new traffic exchange launched and presto, you have instant income. However, for anyone who has ever tried to launched a new program, they can tell you, it’s not always greener on the other side.

Sure you’ll have gems like Traffic Witch and Top Tier Traffic that get released from time to time, but the majority of new traffic exchanges fail to make a profit after the first few months if ever. Why is that?

I’ll give you my opinion and please do comment below on how you feel too. I think it’s my fault. I have stressed for YEARS how important it is to own your own business online and not just be an affiliate for people, and while this does make sense for most, the problem is that a lot of these people are choosing a ‘traffic exchange’ as the model.

Now this is my point in all this, we have so many new people coming into this business, why not cater to them and create traffic exchange related products and services. For example, Affiliate Funnel is arguably a traffic exchange related service and has been a massive success…Because Paul and I are trying to cater to the traffic exchange market. Another example, Steve Ayling’s TE Blaster co-op service. The perfect companion for every traffic exchange user…Two TE related products, very successful programs that cater to the TE community without having to be a ‘new TE’.

There is BIG potential in this business and with a little bit of work and creativity, you could have the next big thing in this business. I just do not think right now it will be a new TE, but rather a product or service that a savvy marketer creates to cater to then thousands upon thousands of new surfers coming online every day…

The News

- Gladiator Hits was launched to a massive reception this week. Over 1600 new members have joined this amazing new traffic exchange. To say this launch was big is an understatement, and while there were a few problems at launch time, it didn’t seem to slow down this new juggernaut. This is a ‘must join’ program!

- Wow! Traffic Swarm welcomed it’s 500,000th member to the program this past week. That’s right, a HALF A MILLION people have joined Swarm and it’s a wonderful week in traffic exchange history. Congratulations to the entire Traffic Swarm team for this history making accomplishment!

- While not as impressive as Swarm’s numbers, SWAT Traffic generated it’s 10,000th member this past week as well. SWAT has been such a wonderful experience for me since I started it and it’s become one of the most stable and reliable programs on the net. Special thanks to each and every SWAT Traffic member for this!

How To Launch A Traffic Exchange? This Is How!

I was approached by a good friend of mine Dan Moses a few weeks ago with a proposition. Dan is helping a newcomer to the industry launch a brand new exchange, in fact it launched only about 5 minutes ago and you can check the new program out by clicking here. Now launching a new program is nothing new for Dan, he has done this for the past few years. But how he does it is unlike anything else in this business.

Dan gathered a huge amount of JV partners because of the relationships he generated by going to off line events as well as networking within the industry. Sure, it helps that he owns massive programs like Page Swirl but the main part of this is his network. What he built and who he knows will turn this program into one of the most promoted programs in recent memory.

It’s all about your network folks! The key to this entire online business thing is your network, who you know and what you can both do for each other. Of course, this is nothing new in business as it happens each and every day in any industry. So what are you doing to grow your network? Who are you trying to meet and greet? How can you jump into the industry with the force that this new program owner did? Simple, build your network and get in with the right people!
