Issue 260 – Goodbye To A Legend, MPAM Will Be Missed
All good things come to and end, and after almost a decade of being online, the granddaddy of all downline builders has closed it doors.
Today I wanted to salute not only the legacy of MPAM but also it’s owner, Micheal Russell. The ‘Massive Passive Advertising Machine’ was the basis for everything I know online. Back in 2001 and 2002 this was THE program of choice for thousands upon thousands of marketers.
MPAM’s traffic exchange training system was one of the best ever and it’s community atmosphere was the breeding ground of some life long relationships and business dealings. This was due to Mr. Russell’s huge heart. The guy loved working with people and is the guy who gave me my first ‘shot’ at this business.
It’s sad to see MPAM go, just because of the history it has but if you take a look around, you will see shades of it’s influence everywhere. In fact, my program Affiliate Funnel has quite a few MPAM touches in it as do a lot of what I own or co own online.
Micheal, thank you again for all the help over the years and for creating the MPAM community. It’s been a great ride. Let’s see what will come next of MPAM’s massive influence…
Thank you very much for being a reader of Hit Exchange News and have a wonderful week!

Question: Hey Jon, how come I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic are never on the top 10 list? Since I own them, I feel it would be a conflict of interest to place it on any of my rankings. (But we all know how great they are anyways lol)

Deep Thoughts – Jon’s Weekly Rambling
The Anti-Sound Brigade
This is a topic that seems to come and go on a monthly basis. Every time a splash page gets a decent amount of rotation, some folks come out of the wood work to complain about sound while surfing the traffic exchanges.
Here’s the deal, we are advertising. In the sea of dull web sites that seem to populate the traffic exchanges, why is an advertiser shunned for using something to spice up their site? Why are people not allowed to ‘grab attention’? This is what we are doing right, advertising?
It’s a funny argument, and something I have never really understood. Especially because the most effective and attention grabbing splash pages, are usually ones with sound or voice…Still, some folks seem to have a problem with this.
I say use whatever you want! If you are seeing good results, use whatever combination you like. If people do not like it, they don’t like it. Nothing you can do about it. But time and time again, sound on splash pages has created some very memorable campaigns.
What are you doing to stick out like a sore thumb?
