The Message
A few months ago, we had a ‘big name’ marketing guy came and hung out with the TE Live community. The man, in my opinion, has always hammered home the importance of what he called ‘Evergreen’ products to affiliates for years and it’s something we at TimTech are big believers in. We truly think it is the golden ‘rule’ for long lasting marketing success.
Problem is…Promoting ever green products and their affiliate plans are not that sexy. There’s not a lot of flash and dash. It’s long term, slow growing success that unfortunately many folks just don’t have the patience for.
Well when I see something like this….I not only get SUPER pumped, but I also remind myself that there are members in this community that DO get it and DO understand how powerful ever green products can be….
I love this page. On so many levels, not only is it very *kreative but it’s also gets a powerful message across, the focus is on ever green products and their importance to your business.
Statistics show, time and time again, that most people will never last a year in online business. It’s sad but it’s a fact. Slot machine marketing is a disease and people come and go every single week. However the folks that have been in this industry for years, will all agree, certain programs are MUST haves. They are never ‘hot business opportunities’, they are never ‘get rich quick schemes’, they are never ‘set it and forget it’ business models….
They are the tools. The things you use, day in and day out. You WILL use an autoresponder in a year from now. You WILL use a splash page creation tool in 6 months. You WILL have your website hosted in 3 years. These are the MUST haves for anyone looking to build a real long lasting business online.
It’s time we all focus on what matters, and in my opinion, it has always been the ever green products!

I do promote ever green products. One in particular you already know about
Seriously, you are totally right about finding and promoting programs that are long term investments. Even if you are a free member at some of the sites, you still have to invest time in promoting them. But they will be there for years to come for you to use and make money from referrals.
The worst thing a new online marketer can do is program hop. Don’t catch the “Shiny New Thing” syndrome – just find a few products that you will be using over time and only promote those. Not only will you have some nice programs at your disposal whenever you need them, but you will also have a residual income if you are persistent and don’t quit.

Jonathan – completely agree. program hoping is the biggest problem people have in this business. they don’t give anything time to mature, they just run from new thing to new thing.
Imagine if people spent a year promoting themselves and one or two programs…Crazy thoughts…

Big Kudos to Sean for creating a great video and for branding himself. He’s doing everything right.
People tend to forget that just because we are on the internet and many things are quick and fast, that doesn’t mean starting a business will be the same. An online business is really not that different from having an offline “brick n mortar” one. A lot of the same processes are in both. Time … patience … persistence … passion.
So, selling Evergreen Products aids other business owners with what I mentioned above.

I totally agree with ya Jon. Now! As you know, Deb and I did a lot of the membership programs for years as well as Click Bank and other things. Fleeting things, things that loose the shine and luster over time, until a new one came along. Since the launch of CTP, our thinking has totally changed for sure and not just us, a lot of other people as well. Learning, advertising, and teaching the Tools of the Trade, EVER GREEN PRODUCTS; is the foundation for long term residual income for any one simply because the Tools of the Trade are a requirement for ALL serious Internet Marketers, Period!
