Two HUGE Announcements – iPod Giveaway & Sweeva Widget Hunting
I hope everyone in America had a great July 4th weekend and just to let you folks know, we were VERY busy on the holiday weekend at Sweeva. I have two major announcements from I Love Hits and Sweeva.
The first is the introduction of this week’s Bracket Surfing prize at I Love Hits. I’m giving away an iPod Touch to the winner of Division One and you can check out the prize in the video below. I had a lot of fun buying it as well, I think I really scared the salesman at the store when I asked him if I can make a video of the purchase….LOL Check out that short video here.
And now, on to Widget Hunting at Sweeva. Basically one of the original traffic exchanges Click Thru did this sort of Easter Egg hunt where people would stick their ‘buttons’ up around the net and people would search for them and click on them to get bonuses. I always thought this would be a HUGE idea but no one else seemed to run with it.
Remember, this was something in the traffic exchanges like a decade ago that made surfing so addictive for me. So Tim, Austin and I thought it would be the perfect addition to Sweeva. Basically it works like this. Stick a Sweeva Widget up on your site or your blog (yes, putting them on splash pages is PERFECT) and every now and again the Widget will change and look like this….
Click it and presto, you win! Credits, XP, Sweeva merchandise….The possibilities are endless.
But here’s another reason this has the potential to be VERY popular. Not only does the person who clicked the Bonus Widget get the prize but they split it with the person whose Widget was clicked on. Talk about co-operative prize winnings huh?

I love the Sweeva bonus widget idea! I know some other people’s blogs I’m gonna have to start hitting daily just to see if I win anything, hehe.

I am super pumped about this, because we have had these widget things on our splash pages for some time now, it will be good to get people looking through the pages more thoroughly looking for those widgets!!! Super excited here!
Jon, I remember click-through too. I think it was one of if not the first program I received a check from working online for! ($2.93 in 2 1/2 months work lol)
