What Happens When You Give Up…
It’s the age old problem in online business. A new marketer comes online. Busts their tail for a few months. Does the little things to help build their business. But after some time, doesn’t see the yachts and the enormous bank account. No referrals are coming in. No sales. So they give up…
It’s sad, but here’s a staggering fact, this is almost the case with 99% of the people who come online looking to make money. It’s happened for years and it continues to be the biggest problem facing us as business people…Giving up!
Here’s something to think about….What happens if you spend all that time, and effort to grow your downline to about 50 people in something like ClickTrackProfit. It’s taken you a few months and you are doing the little things like contacting your downline, offering support but you don’t get any people taking action. Frustrating beyond belief. So you say…Enough of this, I’m done…You give up and start jumping from program to program.
But something remarkable happens. You refer someone else, number 51….And that person turns out to be someone like Patrick Griffin. Or a TimTech Nerd. Or a big traffic exchange owner. Or someone who is at the start of a lucrative career. Or a dedicated surfer.
I use Patrick because this story can be found at home, right here in TimTech. Brenda Broyles actually referred Patrick to ClickTrackProfit and from what she recalls…Her downline before that was…Lukewarm at best. Now what would have happened if Brenda gave up? Not only would she have missed an opportunity to work with TimTech but she would have missed the BIGGEST opportunity…And that’s to refer and work with someone who is becoming a very strong brand in this business.
Be a Brenda! Don’t give up! When you do, you will never know how close you were to success. If you want a tip on how to keep driving and pushing forward….Do the fundamentals every day, +1 every day, focus on relationships first….And you will see, the results will be there. It’s a guarantee!

Amen, Jon and Stephen! How true is that. OMGOSH, how many people give up when they were on the verge of GREATNESS. As you say, people come in, they give it a try for a little bit, don’t see HUGE results and then give up. But….. If they were to just to continue to do a little bit everyday towards building their business and continuing to connect with other people and help other people, once the results start pouring in, motivates them to get going and they will wonder where the heck all of it is coming from! Slow trickle at first, but at least it shows them it’s working turns into Niagara Falls!
And YES, One person is truly all it takes that will make a decision to take action as opposed to 100 or 1000 others who aren’t doing anything!

The truth is that everyone has the victim mentality, and is ready to blame everyone and everything rather than themselves.
It’s far too easy to give up, and overnight success will only happen after you’ve worked your butt off in the shadows. Until people wise up and realise you can’t get something for nothing this horrible cycle will continue.
Big results take big effort.

I think far too many people have such unrealistic expectations when they start out that if they don’t make money in a month or so they get fed up and leave.

I didn’t realize how bad the “get there quick” mentality was until speaking to Larry (Larry Dame:Tim Tech support) last week when he said that the most common question he gets asked in support calls is how can people use the TimTech products/sites to make money quickly.
Tim Linden then gave the very best answer to that question that I have ever heard or am ever likely to hear: “If you want to make money online quickly then slow down.”
I have been taking internet marketing seriously for just under a year now (and using traffic exchanges for considerably less time) and I have already seen people come along, burn brightly for a while and then disappear like a spent firework.
So new marketers, come and join this wonderful community of ours, but take it nice and slowly, be prepared to stay the distance and come to Traffic Exchange Live as often as you can.
And just like Stephen Whittle posted earlier, neither have I been asked to post this and nor am I being compensated.
However also like Stephen and the other regulars at this hot hangout, we recognize a source great free online content when we see one.
