Your Own Badges…S.O.L.A.S.T.

Well, now we’re really going to upset some people LOL Tim just created a code for people to purchase their own badges. Either a single badge or a complete set that you can have for your business and give them away as you see fit.

Here’s how you purchase your own custom badges to give away…

1. Log into CTP here: ClickTrackProfit Log In

2. Now click on this link to see the order page!

Now you must realize a few things. First the people that get badges’ and know how powerful they can be have already taken some steps to get their own badges. People like Shane from SiteXplosion, William from SurfSkeleton, Smith from LiveTrafficNetwork, John from ThumbVu…And many others. These people know how powerful these can be for their business and their traffic exchanges.

Second, you do not need to own a traffic exchange to benefit from your own badge. You can hide the links to your badges in your thank you letters on your autoresponder lists. You can hide them in your splash pages. In blog comments. Forum posts. Anywhere you can copy and paste the Badge Code, you can give a badge away.

Talk about customer loyalty and potential HUGE windfall’s for people actually LOOKING for your pages in rotation. Site owner or a traffic exchange surfer looking to build their brand…The badges can be huge for you.

Now of course, a bunch of people will hate it. They’ll say they are juvenile. They’ll say they are too expensive. They’ll say TimTech sucks. Hey, whatever makes them sleep better at night =)

For those of you that want to experience the huge power of the Great TimTech Badge Hunt…We look forward to working with you!

P.S. S.O.L.A.S.T. stands for ‘stick out like a sore thumb’…. B0708B19D6

  1. OMG!!!

Now badges are everywhere.. oh where do I surf first??? LOL.. Wow, I got to hand it to TimTech guys for coming up with this.. truly different! I don’t believe that collecting badges is juvenile at all. We all enjoy collecting stuff one way or the other. For me, it just made surfing something I look forward to doing daily. Thanks!

  2. Thanks Rain – Yup, the price point I think will keep a lot of T.E. Owners out of it, which is o.k. we want to really work with the guys and gals who invest in it.

But for list builders and surfers, they can be just as big, if not bigger =)

  3. I guess a lot of people will take advantage of this 🙂
Branding in a whole new way and what with all the acronyms flying about these days heres one for BADGE.

    Brand Anything Discover Great Exposure

Keep up the good work Timtech

  4. Hi Jon,

That’s really Cool! Justin already knows I am in! WOOO-HOOOO!

Have a great one! Oh, I am a kid at heart anyway so they can call me juvenile if they want to! LOL

  5. I’m in for another set… The first two badges were such a HUGE success! Thank you for making something this powerful available to us little guys…

  6. This is a great initiative. I’ve kind of had my head buried in the sand for the past couple of months and I’m way behind at CTP – I’ve been watching the badge phenomenon with interest and while I’m a member at CTP I’ve just not had time to be involved at all (my fault entirely)
The great thing I see about the badges is that it builds a community of like minded people and thats an awesome achievement.
The question for me right now, given the current path that I’m pursuing is how do I make them work for me? Once I’ve got that figured out in my head I’ll be all over it

  7. Hey Jon,

Sadly it is all too true that people are going to hate you for this blog post and hate TimTech for offering badges at all.

“Bad enough that they have those CTP guys collecting badges,” they will say, “and now they expect us to do so too.”

But the thing is that none of this negativity matters because your badges have already evolved from a bit of fun for CTP users into a genuine commercial opportunity.

These, silly, stupid, childish, nonsensical, virtual badges are actually helping people make more money online.

    And guess what?

The people who hate the badges because they are ‘silly’ will hate them even more once they are proved to be an even greater commercial success than they already are.

    Keep up the good work.

    Patrick.

  8. Thanks Patrick, thanks Shane…Both you guys are huge supporters of these badges and we can’t wait to see how they help you even more in the future. Thank you for your support.

Mark – Here’s some way you can do it. For regular surfers or guys and gals looking to build a list. On your splash pages and squeeze pages, tell the viewer they get a ‘rare’ badge if they join your list.

On the autoresponder message you give them the code. They get a rare badge and their ‘rarity factor’ in CTP goes up.

You can hide badges anywhere really, all over your pages because people are now ‘looking’ for them. Huge potential for surfers and list builders, but again, only a handful of people have taken action =)

  9. Hi Jon
I’ve yet to grasp all this and thank you for your good guidance. I have to say that the marketer who is bandying your name around emails on various traffic exchange sites should be ashamed.
I wasn’t thinking straight but now am.
I intend to complain to the site owners in your defense. Everybody has an even platform and should use it as such to offer what they like so long as it’s ethical.
I ask if your contributors and readers would help me and complain also if they get the email with your name in the subject. You can’t say you like what someone does in one paragraph and you don’t in the next. If you have to knock someone else to gain recognition it means you have to knock them out of the competition to better them. I hope that person reads this.
That person appears to be promoting something else and wrongly using someone’s name as leverage for earning. I find it unethical and haven’t seen this done so directly before.
This is a great site and I enjoy reading it.
Jon, keep up this great work. You are a trusted contributor to people’s success.
    Janny

  10. Thanks Janny =) I have a pretty good idea who you are talking about. They are really just my super fans and love me to death. They just have trouble expressing their true feelings LOL

  11. Hey Jon

Great idea, this badges will be an excellent part of my list building and downline action taking strategy!

Here’s an idea though, how about offering those of us who have upgraded at CTP access to a special page with a discount?

    Regards,
    John

  12. How’d I miss this post! It was buried in my gmail… arrrgh and now not avail… can I get on a notification list when they become available again?

    DA

  13. Seems to me you could just as well save the codes for badges you already have and use those codes elsewhere – for free.

    Am I missing something?
